You ARE Clinging to Something.....Discern!

....... Yet God does not take away life, but plans ways so that the banished one will not be cast out from him.

The more I SEE myself with clarity....
The more I Discern my ways.....
The more I Define my character....
The more temptation I have to flee!

When I take my eyes off the lesser things, which I am one of those in my "self", to cast my gaze upon His perfection I find the reason that Peter looked away when Christ came through the court yard being lead to take responsibility for all humanities purposeful lack of harmony.

I believe this is one of the reason we are only able to have a glimpse of things here and there.  The intensity of truth shines with such purity that all the evil within our heart and mind starts to scurry about, close the binds, windows and doors in order to NOT be CAST AWAY.  They like their hidden life within the safety of His life.  They know what is coming and they know He will not hold back. So they CLING to every moment of goodness in hopes of not loosing their host home.

We're going to take a stroll today through a working field.  The first thing I want you to see is the plow amidst an over grown abandoned plot of farm land.  Let's walk up to it.  Reach out and lay your hand on the rough wood of the handle.  It is weathered from not being taken care of.  Wrap both your hands around each arm of the plow.  Give it a push because the weeds have grown up over the blades.

As you move a bit forward you can see if you keep it straight enough you are uncovering a path from the prior worker being exposed.  But your blade keeps hitting clumps and rock which are reeking havoc on your muscles.  You stop to look around for someone else to take turns with but you see no one

After 3 hours and not moving more than 1 row you walk away to ponder how you might hire someone to do this because you see the good in the field, but you don't feel fit for this part of the job.

Although, there is nothing wrong with this scenario I want us to  compare a few scriptures for laying God's pathway to understanding.

Luke 9:62 But Jesus said to him, "No one, after putting his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God".
1 Corinthians 9:10 Don't you think his concern extends to us? Of course. Farmers plow and thresh expecting something when the crop comes in.
Jeremiah 23:39 "Therefore behold, I will surely forget you and cast you away from My presence, along with the city which I gave you and your fathers.

Yesterday we spoke about not casting away our confidence.  God tells us to cling to our hope.  Reflect on your notes from the Deeply Series, Stones of Provision.  (again, if you need those just let us know)

We spoke Friday about our faith.  Recall what your faith is in, if you can grab it with your physical hand then discern for yourself that you have taken your hand off the plow.  The rest of that verse is speaking of being fit to receive "after you have done the will of God".

Now YOU must SEE for yourself, YOUR self......
Now You must Discern , YOUR ways......
Now You must Define, YOUR character....
Castaway all which is less than above.

I pray you pause to count the cost, your fitness and your maturity.  That you patiently wait for His wise ancient path to be revealed. All the while keeping your hope firmly clutched in the palm of your hands.  I earnestly pray that you not look back to your own strength, but remember all that is waiting for you to arrive.
Seek First His Kingdom along His pathway, for on this way alone His angels take charge.  Know with your faith they will cast all stone away from you, believe you are safe in His Hand.

I believe all this and know there is so much I cannot comprehend yet.  But I cannot believe enough for you - You alone are the master of your fate - I pray you through Him you Master your Way.

IN the free will of His Liberty; BE Life
Candace

My Mind is SET!

I really enjoyed our conversations Friday.  I thank each of you for always bringing out the best in me =D.

Just a reminder.  "Words"  If anyone doesn't remember what I am speaking of post a comment, text, e-mail or put a note in a bottle and have faith (as I always say)!  Also for anyone that was not involved in one of our "Deeply Series" and you would like any of the referenced material simply make us aware and we will get it to you.

Hebrews 10:35, 36
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which has great recompense of reward.
For you have need of patience, that, after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise.

We know that we must believe something in order to have a hope of seeing it come to fruition.  We also know that when we defer our hope, our heart gets fractured and hurts.  WE also know that we are called to know the reason for our hope.  We discussed in last week about being made in God's image and how we are to take pleasure in the things hoped for.

We spoke last week about David, Peter, Timothy and Goliath.  They were ALL counting on something.
David, was counting on being King.  But he waited patiently and confidently till God made the way for him.
Peter was counting fish, counting on the Messiah, counting the cost of being recognized and many other wonderful human examples which we all struggle with. (more on those through out the month).
Timothy was counting on seeing things in order to believe them.
Goliath was counting on never being beaten because he owned the battle ground.

What are you counting on?
Do not cast away your confidence.  Where does your confidence come from

I want you all to continue to think about how interdependent we are supposed to be as we DEPEND on God alone.  Also think about: being above reproach, affecting the image of God, stepping up and saying you are a child of God but not representing His true character.

My prayer is for Truth, not any old truth - His Eternal Truth.  May our ears hear it, eyes see it and pierce as deep as our marrow and bone.  I leave each of you to reflect on this:

My Counsel is Holy
My Mind is Set
My people are miserable,
Yet my feet won’t move
My body is hurting
My hands will not heal
My mouth speaks atrocities….
Not fit for a King!

Where are my people
Whose body do they make?
Why do they leave you …..
To hurt till you stink?

I am still calling,
My voice never ends….
Their ears not listening,
Their hearts do not care.

They keep building stages,
Part curtains for fools…..
Their words hurt my people
Their fake smiles deceive

They take my provision…
Build kingdoms up high
They cast off my life lines
Leave people in despair
So my vengeance rages
May this never BE!

March in; over take them
Clean up my space……
Shout praise for my wisdom
Clean up the High Place!

Their perverse words have slain men
Their blood still cries out…..
My Holiness demands justice
I know this seems harsh

Their minds have become lazy
They don’t care to relate
They cannot stop you…..
You must speak truth

Believe some will listen
They’re searching for me
For this cause I send Love
They’re crying in pain!

Tell them I love them
Tell them I care
Tell them I created them
Tell them I Am here!

What Do You REALLY Know?

Yesterday, in case you did not catch it, the writing I left off with was incredible foolishness.  Yet we recognized the character being described.  We have at times, probably, played that character role.  I earnestly pray that we mature to the point of realizing when we need to choose another part to personify. I pray that we SEARCH for the truth, really really want the truth

With that in mind, maturing that is, what defines the separation between our emotional choices of desirable verses not desirable?  How do we discern pleasure from pain?  We have been taught trained and now tout so many mixed messages of "good" things.  No doubt, we DO doubt the reliability of our receptors toward accuracy. (more on this later)

For those of you who believe we were created in the image of God: in His likeness, male and female, do you believe that He then is relatable to our likeness in many ways?  For instance:

We have a spirit and a soul ~ does God?
We take pleasure or emotionally feel pleasure ~ does God?

Without knowing these things, how CAN we know what we believe?  Our beliefs will contradict each other, we will not know who we are, what we look like, what defines us.  No doubt our character is seen to be as the incredible fool.  If we lean on our own understanding, the tiny bits of truth that we can fit into a picture; then the only definition of God we have is of our own assumptions.  We then are limiting who we are capable of maturing into based on our small picture.

So let us press together one unified point from which all things can expand out from okay?  We cannot define God; but He does give us His exhaustive definition.  Then He gives us a life time to acknowledge, understand and experience these ideals.  When this life is over, we will see the real deal and not the small pictures posted to use for reference and confirmation of its existence.

To answer the questions above - which are part of your discovery as we sojourn throughout the Passionately Series, I won't give you my small pictures or answers.  But I will give you part of God's definition:
No one can please God without faith. Whoever goes to God must believe that God exists AND that He rewards those who seek HIM. ~ Hebrews 11:6 (GWT)
For yet in a very little while, He who is coming will  come, and He will not delay. But My righteous one shall live by faith ~ and IF he shrinks back My Soul has No Pleasure in him. ~Hebrews 10:37-39 (NAS)
God is Spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth ~John 4:23-24

I know this is getting a bit lengthy, but I cannot release this fine wine before it's time =D ~ to concisely close I will use Paul’s words NOT my own.

And I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling.  And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit of Power, that your faith should not REST on the wisdom of men but on the power of God.
Yet we do speak wisdom among those who are mature; a wisdom, however, not of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are passing away; but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, the hidden...which God predestined before the ages to our glory!  Which none of the rulers of this age has understood; for if they had understood it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory; but just as it is written:
"Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and have not entered the heart of man: all that God has prepared for those who LOVE Him"
For to us God revealed through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.  For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him?  Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God!
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual with spiritual.
So today, define your spirit.  Ask your soul:

· "Soul, am I a mere natural man limited to only what I believe to be true?"
· "Soul, don't you have a spirit which can understand and appraise foolishness to discern the value?"
For Who Has Known the Mind of the Lord, that He Should Instruct Him?  But WE HAVE the Mind of CHRIST!

For the Love of God, BE pleased with the gift of THIS DAY,
Kisses,
Candace

Rest Assured......

Rest Assured......

God promise of rest, rests in our confidence in Him.  That's it ~ the WHOLE picture.  Boom. Done.

........But WE wish and we pray.  We hope and we squirm.  Our actions are as ambiguous as the union of the two words REST and ASSURED.

WHY, why, why can't we simply believe?  Why, why, why do we doubt? And why, why, why do we beat ourselves up when we do?  It might be for one simple reason, we are way too smart to have confidence in our SELF! We KNOW who we are.  We know our record - and we protect that record from the world with OUR very life.  Hmmm and there is the rub, isn't it?  "WE protect....our very life."

God is VERY clear on this:  He promises that the one who tries to save his own life will indeed loose that very life.  Boom! Done!  "Final authority".   Since the very beginning of time this has been the "great fall ".  AND since the beginning of time, God has been warning us of this one great flaw.

The remainder of our Passionately Series focuses on discerning which path you are on.  It is never too late - while it is still called today, God says.  He also promises to never cut your time short.  Which means, you will have all the information needed before your final curtain call.  AND you will have chosen to use that information " Your Way".  ( I hear you singing MY WAY - don't deny it)

James 1: 2-4 is the focal point on the horizon which we are setting our eyes, heart and mind upon:

My brothers and sisters be very happy when you are tested in different ways.  You know that such testing of your faith produces endurance.  Endure until your testing is over! Then you will be mature and complete....and you won't NEED anything. (emphasis mine - GWT)

We have much wisdom in the bible, especially in proverbs (from chapter 16).  If you recal from the earlier Deeply Series we utilize these as our signage, landmarks, territory boundaries etcetra.  Here are a few signs for you:

  • The highway of decent people turns away evil. Whoever watches his way preserves his own life.
  • Pride precedes a disaster, and an arrogant attitude precedes a fall.
  • A wise person's heart controls his speech, and what he says helps others learn.
  • Why should a fool have money in his hand to buy wisdom when he doesn't have a mind to grasp anything?
Ponder those and the thoughts below.  Rest Assured we will stay true to our journey to understand the depths of God's mighty passion for us all.

May God's good will BE bountiful with you all;
Kisses,
Candace

Round and Round and Round it Goes
Where it STARTS nobody knows.....
Or DO  they?????

In my mind, in my mind
As I SEE it should be

The reels keep on spinning
The chaos I view.......
The bits of truth scattered...
I push pause to reframe

No common sense helps me
We're all simple blind fools.
I cannot just sit here
Do I dare push the play?

For God's sake, there's a reason
To wait for the calm.....
Why rush out like an idiot....
Let them see my plight.....
I think I'll just sit here,
And ponder my life

There in lies My answers
Yet no reason hits my ears
With my image so large......
Yet my pictures so small....
So here we all sit:
Me, Myself and I
I'll wait for His voice
Not my boast about life.

This much IS truth,
For I KNOW what I know
My plans are like schemes
Which increase my sights
And others, just a means
To increase my heights.

Soon, they will see me....
They will run to my aid....
They'll sit here beside me,
Their friend in need!.

They'll become vulnerable....
but My strength will increase
To God be the glory,
For their blessings I received!

They now are useless....
Guess their purpose was ME
With strength then, I'll rise up
They'd want me to succeed.....
For without their presence,
My life would not shine!

I'll climb to great heights;
Span the vast open space....
My eyes shall see splendor,
So much room; what a view!

My God, you must Love me
To bless me like this.
I graciously accept....
For their lives, which they gave.

On the day when I reach you
I know you'll be pleased
For this is your good pleasure:
To increase who I am......
Your good and faithful steward
I didn't waste - I gained!

To think I almost missed it:
When I thought I was snared....
Thinking schemes would deceive me,
Then, Boom -your plan appeared..

You tell us we're conquerers...
We're the head not the tail,
You give us fine gifts,
These things won't be withheld....

My God your so good....
I just hope they can see
If I lift my voice high...
They will hear of My king.

May your image they see
When their eyes look at Me
All this glory I've received
And it did not cost a thing!

Peace is HOW we Harmonize

But seek FIRST His kingdom and all these things shall be added to YOU! Luke 12:31 NAS

We have been speaking about Peace, our Frame of Mind and Harmony.  Today we are blending these notes into a melodious cord to see if they harmonize.  When you, yourself understand their tone, experience it for yourself, then YOU will be filled with His harmony which merges and stabilizes all things. Doesn't that sound amazing?

Peace is how we harmonize.  We are told to extend our peace whenever we approach others and before entering dwellings.  If our peace is accepted, we are to stay in community with those whom are peaceable.  We are also told to be at peace with others as far as it depends on us.  We are instructed to keep our peace; not to give it away to those desiring to consume all peace as if they are a vast vortex leaving no peace for others.  I am always reminded of the proverb regarding giving our pearls to swine when I think of this.  To do so is a waste of something good which is to be planted, prosper and flourish bringing much more to everyone else in need.

The struggle between keeping peace and being IN peace is the battle mentioned which is not with flesh and blood.  We are told it is in the spiritual realm.  Our ability to keep peace by means of our own force / emotions is the down fall.  You see it is not OF us, there for our own might will always defeat us.  Did you grasp that?  Read it again if not.  There is nobody else there in that scenario is there?

Now compare this struggle to little children desiring to play with the same toy and there is only one between them.  They cannot comprehend the concept of playing together with the toy.  There vision is that of the vortex, all they can see is me, mine, all, go away!  The other child or children who is left toy-less, if even for one second begins the process of a meltdown by way of an explosion.

God's peace is not about happiness; although with His peace comes much.  It is not about grasping that momentary prize either; although with His peace we are blessed and prosper in all ways.  God's peace is not about detaching from everyone else in order to HAVE your desire; although there are times when He tells us to leave is the only way harmony may be kept. These are a few of the reasons why we, in our limited understanding are not able to wrap our minds around the depths, heights an widths of this selfless yet amazingly fulfilling True peace of His.

Did you notice how self motivated, consuming and therefore isolating the peace is which we usually strive to obtain?  Now, think about how a musical note is enhanced when other notes entwine, merge and complete each other.  The sound which emerges is deeper, richer, whimsical and intense, depending on the notes, all at the same time.  It's absolutely DELICIOUS!

Have no doubt and do not be deceived: God's peace is all about harmony.  God is about unity and this unity WILL NOT happen without community.  This is the reason I am constantly speaking about our "common unity".  The fact is, unless all entities are harmonizing, His peace is flat and not the desired tune He has his heart set on conducting.  God Shalom is perfect pitch: perfect, whole, unimaginably lavish completeness.  I picture the one note to affect His ear as an off pitch, shrill singular voice which causes a pane of glass to fragment violently.  If I were an angel, I would feverishly fly the opposite direction.  But they will charge toward the battle line of this cosmic fight when they hear His perfect pitch!

So, as Christ (the living, walking, accepted your chaos which over took His life because God allowed it, restored all life and victories enabling PERFECT harmony - Christ) said "Do not worry about tomorrow for today has enough worries of its own."

Did you hear THAT?

With Love flung all about you,
Kisses,
Candace

There is Love and There is Love - Then there is LOVE!

Ponder this verse today - Matthew 24:12 And because there will be more and more lawelessness, most people's love will grow cold.

I don't know if many of you believe that God speaks to people - as for me, I know how smart I am NOT.  So when those gentle, kind, wide and exhilarating words begin forming concepts far beyond my own comprehension I know they stem from something larger than the tangled threads which comprise my own abilities.

All that to say - when this thread of thought began to weave its wonderful pattern as I gleaned from pondering, listening, reading and examining the depths of ~ Harmonize.....then you HAVE harmony ~ I was wooed.....I was WOWED and now I am unfolding its true depths.

I will unfold it a bit for you today:

Think of it like this - A composer has a tune in his heart, he hears it in his head and he desires to share it with those around him.  Not because HE is great - but because the tune he finds is fighting to leave him, surpass him and share itself with others.  BUT how can it be heard if all the composer can do is write it down?  How can it be heard if there is no voice to lift it up? How can it be played without an insturment?  So he writes it down.  He tunes each string attached to the keys, He trains the vocal cords to be in pitch with the insturment.  Then after much orchestration He himself sits down and his limber, skilled, far reaching fingers press down on those keys - and the magic begins.  Now the melody may fill the airwaves, tickle the drums within those heads far and near.  The glory which he heard in his heart and in his mind will enliven their soul and give their heart a beat.

So if you have a tune, that you love to repeat, examine the words listen to its beat.  If the sound you love makes you angry or remember harm, tune your ear higher .....Listen for Love.....

It's all around you.....everywhere.  Simply stop, lift your eyes high above it all and just SEE what you see, then receive what is there.

On this day of Love, BE love for Goodness sake,
With a Kiss and a Hug for you all,
Candace

Missing Sunday Lunch With My Folks

Part of family is the traditions we build into our generations.  One of my fondest traditions is church and then lunch.  Just lunch wouldn't do it for me.  As for me, I find such a release of all things I am holding onto only when I am convicted as to what God should be holding against me personally.

It is at that point that I am ashamed of any and all things I dare hold up against anyone else.  God is so gracious, forgiving, merciful and just.  I so want to be like that.  I thank Him that I can be as I allow Him to transform my mind so that I may see even a glimpse of what He tells me is true.

There are several things I want to post today: the first is something He was helping me understand just today, the second one is from many years ago, the third is a video which ties them together - at least for me.

After I studied this morning, went to church, had lunch with my husband and son.  I came home to write and talk with God about my thoughts, feelings etc.  He brought up the poem, The End of the Day.  It was then that I realized a bit more clearly this great journey I have been on.  I thank Him for his faithfulness to continue to refine me - as He refines what I understand about His ways.

So, Please enjoy every second of today.....
Till tomorrow,
Kisses,
Candace

The End of the Day

Here at the table all faces in view
I watch them interact with each other in Love
I know not their words just the heart that they share
With pride for my family - I take it all in
I sit at the table by my Father's right hand
Amazed we're together - now time has no place
Their sweet interactions made all worth the wait
Their pain not remembered, their toil understood
My life worth the living, which brings high demands
This meal will now linger for days, months, maybe years
Who knows - there's no hurry our work is complete
Most important is our family and the fellowship we've missed

Those lost we won't long for, we forgive and we forget
Not all chose the commission, their choice we respect
For us all is simple, such beauty abounds
His divine revelation, our inspiration now known
The successes of our Saviour, the Glory of our Lord!

I pray this day you get even the smallest glimpse as He passes by....
In Love - For Him,
Kisses,

Tell Them Things of Passion

There is Love and then there is passion. We can love many things; we have diluted love to the point that anger has more potency. In human terms we seem to perceive love and vulnerable and weak in comparison to anger appearing strong and invincible. God however isn’t human; Love emanates from His presence. There is nothing weak about love it is the pure source from which all other passions flow. In fact it gives a heightened propensity, ability to stay the course and reach the goal without any thought of sacrifice, loss or gain.

Think about it like this. You can appreciate a garden, the delicacy, life and strength all working together to produce a thing of beauty for you to view. These things are fundamental of seeds, environment and harvest etc. Think about how a creators emotions must swoon when the fruit is available after all the work invested.
God appreciated the beauty of the garden; however the thing cherished was not the fruit tree or the fruit. God’s delight was in us, people and those we give life to. He created us in His perfect image.

Think about how it must have felt for people to think they needed the fruit in order to be perfect. We know this side of Eden that the fruit took their perfection away. If as parents we would not be so quick to grow our children up in the ways of the world; If we would long to see that they know truth to protect their innocence instead of subjecting them to the knowledge of good and evil, they would be more able to receive every good thing God desires to lavish on them.

Our lives become difficult because we desire to be self sufficient. We all try so hard to expose them to the ways of the world so they will grow up and be independent and not taken advantage of. If we were to have more faith in love than in fear we would teach them things that are holy, lovely, pure, which brings peace. This peace keep their hearts protected “above all else”.

If we do not let evil come through our doors and windows, then we are protecting His beautiful creations. Then they will have the abundant lives He desires for them to have. Satan has been thrown down; we must stop aiding in throwing each other down.

I pray we hedge each other in like a soft blanket tucked all around. May the strength of His right hand tuck it gently to swaddle us all.
  • Peace you have because His peace He leaves you.
  • Strength you have because His strength is working through you.
  • Abundance you have because it flow down from His Father.
  • Health you have because He has victory over all that destroys.
So claim all he created you to be by walking in harmony, community and the deliverance of the Lord.
Just Believe!

The Stars are Shining for YOU!

The Lord said to Abram," Leave your land, your relatives, and your father's home.  Go to the land that I will show you."

Last week we were speaking of "where your confidence comes from".  We were basing our discussing on view points and perspectives.  We asked the question :  How much faith did Abram have to have to leave EVERYTHING of comfort based on a blind promise that the Lord would "show him" where he was taking him.  He didn't give him the road map, He simply said: GO, LEAVE everybody and everything. We will be detailing this topic over the next few weeks.

Weeks ago we started with the gallery in our minds; how we are the curator in charge of this gallery.  We have been discussing the quality of work you give wall space to.  As well as how other artist steal wall space by either taking down our works or overpowering our work with their own creative expressions.  As curator, remember, you are the authority with ALL rights to remove the lesser quality works, because it is your opinions which govern the allotment of space and recognition.

We left each day with the challenge to think on things: holy, lovely and pure; to choose to speak realistically about an obstacle but to set our focus and exert our energies on the pieces which propel a process of moving toward perfection. We know we are not to strive for perfection, but to find liberty and freedom from fear of failure through the process of BEING perfected as we come to discern who we were Divinely created to be within His plans for creation.

Lastly, we asked this question:  Where does my confidence come from?  We reflected again on Abram.  We read the proverbs regarding what is best for us to put our confidence in, as well as what we are lovingly warned against putting our confidence in.

We also read over a few quotes, which I ask you to reflect on again, in preparation of next weeks challenging decorum of the mind efforts:

  • Pablo: "I can throw open to you no picture-gallery but your own soul, " he tells the suffering protagonist Harry; "All I can give you is the opportunity, the impulse, the key.  I help you to make your own world visible.  That is All." ~ Der Steppenwolf, Magic Theatre
  • Those who do not have power over the story that dominates their lives, the power to retell it, rethink it, deconstruct it, joke about it, and change it as times change, truly are powerless, because they cannot think new thoughts. ~ Salman Rushdie
  • Help them see a picture and they can walk into a new world ~ Candace Huffmaster
  • If you tell me, it's an essay.  If you show me, it's a story. ~ Barbara Greene
  • Every great story teller knows how to spin a tale, because he sees down the road. ~ Candace Huffmaster
In closing, I was listening to a Cold Play song Yellow.  While its lyrics are quiet simple it reminds me of how God decorated a dark place with spots of brilliant light just for you - just for me, for no other reason than it was His delight and thought it good.  We know that all creation celebrates our creator and in time every knee shall bow in recognition of this truth.  But have you ever paused to think beyond that simplicity?  Don't you realize it is as if all creation is here to CELEBRATE His love for us?

This song goes on to melodiously talk about a song being written for you ~ and all the things you do; how you were simply skin and bone and this "someone" turned into something beautiful ~ and how he loves you so ~ to know he loves you so ~ how this Love caused the person to swim across, draw a line and bleed himself dry.  He said it was true.

So next time you look up and see those yellow stars, think about this love for you.  BE filled with awe, for He calls you His delight!  Isn't that a Divine picture?  Hang it UP, call it a masterpiece....YOUR face is His focal point ~ and today I say your are beautiful!!

With such love for you all,
Kisses,
Candace

This is My Frame of Mind ~ What's Yours?

This is the frame of my mind which pictures all things past, present and future.  This is one of the conversations I have each morning with my Dad.  Who are you talking to each morning?  We say it is to ourselves.  But who else is there?  Is it a sister, brother, parent, boss, friend, spouse?  It is someone...or a presence.....think about it as you read more:

Good Morning Dad ~

I know and believe that you alone have all power provision and plans which accomplish pure good.

I know that you are the ONLY God who saves our hell bound souls.

There is no doubt that without you we fall.  Mere men who come from your earth; given life by your very breath.  We're your plan conceived by two; protected, carried and given birth.

We walk upon our own two feet.  We choose the life that we lead.  You tell us to respect free will and to discern as we understand: to walk upright, above reproach, to have compassion upon other men. To be angry and yet not sin, for there is a much higher thing.

You tell us your thoughts are not as our own; to be careful what we believe; to allow liberty to set captives free. You promise us many good things; yet we're told that our days do have pain.  We grow and mature as we live, when we follow the your wise ancient ways.  You lead us through valleys, plains and heights.  You show us your great wonders above.  You create mysteries till we comprehend, as a student we relate, learn and apply.

Then one day you say we may go.  We may walk by the faith we now own.  Our experience while under your wing, made us much stronger than we know; through you we can do mighty things.  On our own we will be great but fall.  We will be lead to doubt but not fear; because you called us steadfast in faith.

We are righteous because in Christ we're saved.  We are holy because you are pure.  We are selected, given rights of your name ~ may we honor you in all that we say.  May we show you in all that we do. May we think on the things holy, lovely and pure.

May we announce that your kingdom has come: to enliven the taste of this world, to shine light where the darkness has been, to speak of the justice of our King.  May we know at the time what to say, through the Spirit may we be not afraid.  May our anxious thoughts be cast far away, so in their need you are mighty to save.

May we call our Lord Jesus to come, in one voice as we usher Him in; though in our moments we keep our lamps lit.  May we stay on His pathway in hope, till we meet on this true road of Life ~ To Christ be the glory on High as we adorn Him, upon His head a crown.  May the splendor bring Him delight, in awe of what the Father has done ~ In His Spirit we all now unite!

Kisses,
C ~
