You Lucky Dog!

He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you.  My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you......And now, I have told you before it come, that when it does come to pass, you may believe.....  (John 14: 26,27,29)

Our family once had a dog named Lucky.  He was a rescue dog from the Salvation Army.  I cannot recall if we gave him his name; he certainly was not a puppy when he came to live with us. Lucky was a beautiful Collie, like the picture I posted here.  But being confined to a small fenced area most of his life, he did not know how to use all his energies and strength well.  He never learned to run; his head would get too far in front of his front paws and he would tumble.

When a car would come by our yard, Lucky seemed to forget all his awkward inabilities; all he remembered was "I want to GO!".  Time and time again he would fall and several times even hit by a car.  Finally, Lucky's luck ran out.....Ironic isn't it?

Today, I went back to read over the past 4 months journals of prayers, biblical studies and how God has been using all these throughout my everyday life.  What I realized is some of the thoughts and questions I have had, He had already talked with me about.  It was all there; did I forget? Did I just get going too fast?  Did I not pay attention because something passing caught my eye?  Or ....is it all the above, but now I see all the experience, in focus of the journey through it all.

Today, as many other days my focus isn't on the sprint from thing to thing, getting caught up in things passing by me, but on watching all that has gone by and talking with my Creator about what He has planned; what He was accomplishing; where I could see Him and bring His activity to light.  These are the reasons we're all alive; to know Him, bring Him glory, and others to Him.

So today, I prayerfully challenge all of us to slow down and stop looking around at what "next thing" we might not catch up with, or miss out on.  But instead, to slow down, so that we don't get run over by something in all our awkward attempts - and allow Him and His power some time, space, energy for strength training.  Just like Lucky, we have no idea, what He is capable of doing, since we are no longer limited and confined.

Side bar, Lucky was a rescue, as are we.  We got Lucky through Salvation army and we are rescued through Salvation in Christ. I could keep going but I will stop with we are not Lucky....we are blessed =D

Sometimes you must Be the beauty in chaos!

Making His Mark With Beauty

Hip, Hip Hooray! Now our organization is seeing beauty emerge all around the world. When we changed our "slogan" from Loving Who You Were Divinely Created To BE to Reaching Through Chaos, Seeing True Beauty Emerge we did not quiet understand why - because we knew the first one was correct. However, we had to believe in what God saw beneath the chaos in order to find the faith which enabled our perseverance to help others not only see what we saw, but believe in it.

As we began telling women and children that they were desired, loved and had a reason to not be afraid, we saw them embrace the " idea" of hope.  But as we stuck by them~ encouraging them to believe that even as God forsaken as life can feel at times, there are always lovely moments too; we noticed they were actually reaching out to grab onto that hope and tucking it away to protect it. But the day we understood with His understanding was when we saw His "beauty mark".  It was the day that all the pieces collided to perfectly mesh.  For the first time I know I saw the elusive Kaleidoscope Butterfly.  Although it was one moment it was also many and there will be many more.  Because as we are walking and relating to these lovely individuals God is revealing precious details which are transforming their minds to see that they, themselves, need to BE BEAUTY in this world of chaos.

We are witness to the fact that there is not a more beautiful sight than His hand reaching through their chaos to share in very real ways.

Our work is simple but true:
We believe True Beauty is as a seed planted within you, tenderly tucked into a deep, dark space. Alone with such dreams of grandeur, restlessly squirming, simply dying to be released! It truly believes there is something much larger and unique it is to be. It feels it could bestow beauty and goodness upon an unaesthetic world. “Just as the butterfly is always within the caterpillar – so too your beauty is fighting to take flight and ride the breeze. You are a kaleidoscope butterfly, a vision foreseen in the mind of the Great Divine. He delights in what you have to offer. He created you to rise above and be seen. So flutter your jagged, shattered pieces in His sunlight. His hand merges all our shapes in His time. To Him we are not missing or broken we are His Delight and perfect in His sight.

We make our request known and know it is His will:
Do not look with your eyes to perceive reality. Do not allow this world to diminish what He sees. Push through the weight trying to hold and bury you. Stand tall in His continence, mercy and grace. Reach up and out with your arms wide. Turn your face to be set on the sun. Allow your bud to blossom. Be open for all to see and embrace. Release the joy in your heart for their pleasure. Allow it to pour out, free. Keep it flowing till the scent of it rises - as a fragrant offering of what you believe all heaven can now see.

So allow us to encourage you "BE the Beauty in chaos no one can stop you – honest!"

Don't Rescue Me from THAT!

Psalms 31:1,2, 19-24  Your kindness is so great! You reserve it for those who fear you. Adam's descendants watch as you show it to those[For the choir director; a psalm by David.] I have taken refuge in you, O LORD. Never let me be put to shame. Save me because of your righteousness. Turn your ear toward me. Rescue me quickly. Be a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to save me.

Your kindness is so great! You reserve it for those who fear you. Adam's descendants watch as you show it to those who take refuge in you. You hide them in the secret place of your presence from those who scheme against them. You keep them in a shelter, safe from quarrelsome tongues. Thank the LORD! He has shown me the miracle of his mercy in a city under attack. When I was panic-stricken, I said, "I have been cut off from your sight." But you heard my pleas for mercy when I cried out to you for help. Love the LORD, all you godly ones! The LORD protects faithful people, but he pays back in full those who act arrogantly. Be strong, all who wait with hope for the LORD, and let your heart be courageous.

As I am growing in my experiential knowledge of reality, I am always amazed at how little on what I thought to be real was even real.  Yet if you had asked me in the past I would have make definite claims of my certainty.  It is mind boggling! 

So much of God's word is directed to understanding all this.  However, we must live a conscious existence in order to perceive it.  When did we, as a society decide it was alright to blame everything on our subconscious ways?  What has happened to accountability?  And I do not mean finger pointing piety, I mean loving, encouraging wisdom as protection from what would be done out of ignorance.  As a gross generalization I see us all taking a step back in our compassion as we allow others to "live and learn".  How cold and callous we have become.  What if God were like that?  He would be no different than man.  We do not want a God like that so we create a God that allows us to do what ever we want to do in ignorance and wallow in the blood of Christ to try and ease the grieving spirit within us. 

We are made in God's image, we were created to care, give aid, take the steps when rejected to keep caring and to speak up even when we know it is going to be met with strife and hostility.  AND then we are supposed to keep praying for the complete power of God to never give up on them, to press around them and whisper sweet truths till they can't live separated from Him any longer. 

We do not rescue them but when God desires to utilize us, equip us to physically get involved whether it be showing them snares up ahead, exposing false imaginations or simply extending peace, love and charity isn't it the least we can do.  After all He allowed us to reject Him, beat him, spit on him, kill him and then he went to hell and back for us.  And we think we've been through a lot!

I have a favor to ask of you -even if just for the next few minutes you just sit with Christ and tell him how much you love him and how sorry you are for taking him for granite at times - for minimizing what he went through for you / us.  Then just be in his presence with no expectations.  Simply allow him to have a couple of seconds with you to enjoy all he gave up so that he could be with you today.

We Choose Our Yokes

I know what I am about to type is rather basic, and we discussed it Friday in group.  But I want us to think about it again, so humor me =D.

We cannot understand what we do not know.  We think we know much, but in fact we know little.  Then we close those files and mark them complete - when in reality we only have fragments of the complete picture. 

Now to break this down to a specific topic "God's love for us independently"

I believe the things I am going to list to be true - I ask that you think about them, then write about them a bit for the next few days or so.  We will be discussing them Friday.

• God sees you as lovely - He created you with the best of all abilities, nothing lacking and nothing missing.
• God is so in love with you - test Him see if you can out give Him
• What we see as shattered pieces, God sees as a complete picture (again nothing lacking / nothing missing)
• God does not need you to be complete, He just loves you with this love you can't understand if you have never experiences such an lavish, insane love (yes, perfectly defined - he keeps doing the same thing over and over and over again till he gets a different result)
• He has never lost you - You just could see Him watching over you.
• God knows how scary things can get and He does not "hold any bad thoughts or feelings against you". God has no thoughts or feelings that are not holy, lovely and pure - which is what he "holds against you / wraps around you.
• Look for God: search everywhere as if you are looking for your most precious item that is near and dear to you.  He will show himself all the way.  He will expose himself - remember He desires to be with you.
• Don't be scared - Remember the point before, I said God exposes himself, not you.  True love covers up the others nakedness, remember we are clothes in Christ's glory.

I know this is a lot - so I might not post again tomorrow.  I am leaving you with a poem to read and read again.  By the way - I always invite you to make improvements to any prose or collaborate on new ones. 

I pray that we all love with out thought of harm.  Trust that He will never lead us into temptation and always deliver us from the evil ones and believe that we do not know best how to love so that we request his guidance in all ways.

Give, Love, Heal

The days are alive as they pass way
Dancing between sunrise and sunsets embrace
Kept in motion by the gentle winds of our breath
Timed within the movements of our hearts tune

Beyond the commotion, within the stillness a voice is speaking:

My spirit grieves as my love suffers

What comes from earth covers the living spirit
I chose to contend for a brief time
In order to speak truth you could follow
So the spirit could be seen by your eyes
Where Christ is there is always liberty

Request to see truth through your faith

We Can't Be Free 'Till We Allow Him To Rise

Ephesians 1:17-19 (GWT) I pray that the glorious Father, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, would give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know Christ better.  Then you will have deeper insight.  You will know the the confidence that he calls you to have and the glorious wealth that God's people will inherit.  You will also know the unlimited greatness of his power as it works with might and strength for us, the believers.

 Some years ago, I remember a time in my life when I felt as if God was standing over me saying, “get up!”  “Why are you just lying there?”  “Get up baby....".  I seemed to hear his sorrow for the condition of my heart.  I actually sensed His spirit grieving within me.  To be exact I felt the yearning of His power to giddy-up as if I were an equestrian telling my steed "Whoa".  The spirit is obedient to our will making a perfect square stop.  

This is where I had to ask myself, if believe what Christ told us about the spirit of God being in me and available to put a stop to what I was taking, but I trust my defeats of past attempts, then even thought the spirit is willing when my faithlessness through doubt communicates "whoa".  Instead of jumping the hurdle and running free I return to the stall and dismount.  Now I and my companion are fensed in again with my thoughts, fears, diallusionment and dispare. 

Christ is risen – I think we agree on that point. God raised Christ to reign and Christ already took His place at Gods right hand. But God gave all of us the the choice of which horse we are going to mount, when he said choose this day who you will follow, then reminded us we choose life or death. Just because we believe that Christ is the son of God and know God said this isn’t the understanding we need to be able to enter His rest. Isn't it true that even the demons know and believe all this – and they have been made Christ footstool, because they are His enemy. 


Through Christ we have to allow the spirit of God to rise IN us. Otherwise we are allowing the spirit that opposes Him to rise in us. Are you questioning that statement? Listen to what this scripture from Hebrews 3:12

“Be careful, brothers and sisters, that none of you ever develop a wicked unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God”.

God made the angels to be winds, messengers, flames of fire. They come to coaxing us forward sideways to turn like a gentle of strong wind would be. They are whispering to us planting encouraging thoughts of God’s will which will be like wind to a spark increasing the flame. This gives us energy, light and power as we go on our way. But not all angels are “for us”. What about them? Well, they are doing the same thing. “Pivotal point here People”. WE choose which we will listen to and be flamed by.


This is why God said “Cast Down False Imagination” and “Resist the Devil and He will Flee” What you have to remember is that all you have to do is resist – the angels are doing the battling not us! That is why God said it is a spiritual battle in the heavenlies.. We can’t see the angel and I don’t think it is going to do us a bit of good to start punching at one. But we can give our angels power by speaking God’s truth – whether we are singing, talking or praying to Him.  


So today think of your thoughts as weights and start lifting them. Develop a believing heart that turns toward our living God – and be safe.” Next time I see you – I want to see some muscle girls =D


Today, as you continue to "think deeply", I pray that you feel the power of His presence in a more real way each second of this day, and that you take time to thank Him for His love and protection – because it is there whether we acknowledge it or not. Thank Christ, I think he deserves it…Don’t you?

We Can't Make a Solid Plan When We Do Not Understand

I am glad to say that at the moment (knowing it could happen at any time) the chaos that we are dealing with in crisis situations is not from our learning curve.  I do not say that to boast mind you.  This year already is proving to be an epiphany fireworks display. 

For instance, how many times have we referred to the writing  "My Shadow" whether in the Creativity Speaks groups, women's groups etc, it has been many.  The process of coming into relationships, hearing our Sheppard's voice and maturing so that we are not deceived is explained in this creative writing.

Only use what you understand clearly.  Where you are lacking fullness you are not supposed to take action, you are supposed to be seeking clarity, provision and confidence that you CAN do it - through Him.

My Shadow




Let me write something pretty for you, Lord,

Let me raise my voice high.

Stir my spirit to praise you, glorifying my King.

The valley I did travel, the journey many years long,

At times I had no vision, the walls too close to see,

No feeling of compassion along my dusty road.

Hear this, my lonely traveler, My words shall persevere!

They are pounding on the pavement as feet running to be at your side.

Patience… please stop running; you are abandoning all your help!

My plan was set in motion when your first tear hit my hand.

I am your way, my sojourner; your road is up ahead.

Make plans after you’ve listened; not while you are trying to understand.

Willful dispositions, glide on the surface like glass,

The reflections are all around us; the image of each man.

My image is why you were created as my father said it was to be,

Mighty men with wasted power ‘til my reflection is what is seen.

Trials and tribulations focus the eyes to see,

Whose reflection is in the mirror?

Judging what is to be…

Focus placed on the superficial, mirrors life gone by,

In the valley of destruction, shadows still reflect

Until challenge breaks the mirror, casting fragments out of reach.

Moving forward now takes decisions,

The eye and mind unite within ,

The heart discerns the image…

Showing a reflection of the true man.

Look past the day you’re traveling,

To the hands holding back the storm,

No valley will overtake you,

No journey will be too long.

I am the Man, and you, my shadow,

I walk through the valley first,

I rose and now you’re with me,

No matter what we’re passing through.

I cast my shadow with purpose,

Made from blocking harsh light,

Harm can only come to the person,

I am that person, your Christ.

The reflection is not tangible, nor the shadow that has been set,

This is just as the spirit, transcendent of the flesh,

Reality is a lesson, the mind a tool to tame.

The learned are My inspiration… My leaders among all men.

Conversations With My Dad

 

Today is the 11th Dad, 11-11-10, this day is important to you.  What makes 11-11-10 different?  What victories are you winning today?  Where are the strongholds finally crushed?  Where is your strength rising, pushing through, out, and above?

Speak to me – to us; your body.  Speak and allow us to comprehend in full.  I am not alone, your body has many members…  That is your house with many rooms! Show me my room that you have prepared…if I have room mates expose them even here now, because your kingdom has come here on earth as it is in heaven.

To Christ our King be the Glory and honor and praise for ever – Amen

Today is important because you are coming together.  There is a great rise before the wake …this day.

A paradigm shift in each moment; all my pieces will fit.  The bulk cannot squeeze through our opening, only the Spirit of God can conform to this shape.

The thieves – they crash to have entry. Don’t get frazzled …the doorway is protected by me. 

Just keep coming – flowing in our body.  The rest is up to me.  You heard exactly what I was saying.  Yes, the rest for the soul was a great price I paid.

So rest, in the arms of our Father, sweet child let Him bounce you on His knee.  He loves with such depth and pleasure you will have nothing but joy as you search His face.

Search and seek that vision…search from night into each day.  He is looking and adoring.  He sees you all; you’re well on your way. 

Just walk ….alone or together…it does not alter your joy.  In times of isolation…this is when you are face to face.  He misses you as you miss Him.  He however can see much larger things.

Trust Him; He will never fail you.  His love never quits any job.  There is no void in His pleasure – there is no lack in a need. There is no day without completion.  There is no end to eternity.

I pray for us all this day…let’s live like this….let’s just give it a try, even if just for today .

This is a Romans 8 Kind of Week ..and it isn't only Wednesday!

It is weeks like this when I see God's sense of humor and hear him encouraging me to take a deep breath, and remember...He knows what is going on in / around us.

So at this moment when my computer "seems" to be crashing, relationships "appear" to be disconnected, and my flesh "feels" like it is flailing - I pull close to God and curl up with Romans 8 and take a REALLY deep breath.  I will not grab the carrots that my mind is enticing me with.  I will believe God and persevere.

In line with what God has told us in the beginning of His Story to us, I ask you to meditate on the scriptures below today.   I thank God that all is well.  I thank him with a humble heart for the mercy and grace to get to the other side of Today with wholeness, peace ...and yes, even joy!

Romans 8:20- (NAS)
For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body. For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.

Listen ...

Today, the winds of change are blowing.  Today, listen to all the watchmen and what they say.  Know that the Lord is Almighty.  Trust in the divinity of His hand. The destruction is counted and measure, the debris will be swept from your path.  Do not look around you at the devestation, keep your eyes set on the horizon of your path.  Today know that He loves you and His tears rain down as a summer shower.  He is your deliverance and power to make it.  He is prompt and fulfilling for your good.  Trust Him, be watchful and waiting at times you will not want to speak.  You will know from his prompting...the one in your midst for your needs.

I love you all....all is well.  Say that and believe.

Proper Prospective by the Water’s Edge

– Reflections of a still heart

Be still my child; know that I am God
Stretch out your arm and reach for my hand
I have been calling you through all time; whispering gently “your name”
Sitting beside the still waters; which calmly run through your path
Here all tension is drifting, as you grasp to hold firm my hand

Rest as deep as the waters; which have no beginning nor will they end
Twisting, turning rolling inward then flowing over and out
All time is a continuum in motion; plunging deep while running at my speed
Years folding into seconds, the sorrowful desire to turn back the hand of time
I desire to wash away their broken memories; there is a lesson to for all to learn.

To return a wave, requires an earth movement; for man this is impossible to achieve
My hand, however, has strength and power; things your mind cannot comprehend
To stop the world from turning, you must watch closely to understand.

As I think, it surely happens, because my love knows no bounds
When flowing as life giving water it quenches the driest of sand
My time is the distant shoreline; the boundary for us all
Its water the lifeless’ lifeblood; running throughout each soul
My knowledge is everlasting power, the heartbeat understands
My energy is pure motion, pumping my lives over and beyond
My spirit propels each vision, empowering good and halting bad.

Sit by my still waters; come near to contemplate life
Listen to the distant babbling, of all the years we’ve passed by
Listen to only their laughter, forget all of their pain
My joy is through the Holy Spirit and peace is in my right hand

Lengthen your own shoreline, take the pure water in
Deepen your own tide pool, this way you will understand
Dive in with a deep breath, then kick hard to reach the top
Breath in all that freshness, allow your face to burst through the wet
Emerge in me a new life form, truly cleansed now from your past,
In beauty to walk as the righteous, upright and straight ahead

Now you can see forward, when looking as you wave goodbye
So wait for proper prospective, before standing to leave them behind
Always focus your pathway, designed from my trusted lead
Follow the heavenly highway, perfectly designed to carry you home

The First Day of the Rest of Our Life...

Qara (call) is a Hebrew word with the meaning of proclaiming. It means to call out, cry, utter a sound. For us it means to do that with the name of God. It means to read aloud or read to oneself….simply to read. It also means to summon, invite, call for, commission, appoint, call AND endow.

In Genesis 1:5 we hear God calling light day and darkness night. He gave a name to it and called it by that name. He chose it, meaning it was chosen by Him.

Echad in Hebrew means one or first; it also means each and every. It also means only, once as well as “once for all”. It can take on the meaning of one…another, the one ….the other, one after another and one by one. A meaning that I found interesting was – eleven (in combination and eleventh (ordinal)

Yowm annunciated Yome in Hebrew is a word that I found very enlightening. Years ago when I started studying Hebrew and Greek language as it pertains to our bible it changed my life.

I will break some of the meaning down today and we will work our way through it for the rest of our lifetime (you will get that in a bit =D)

Meaning :
1. day, time, year
a. day (as opposed to night)
b. day (24 hour period)
1. as defined by evening and morning in Genesis 1
2. as a division of time 1b
c. a working day, a day's journey
d. days, lifetime (pl.)
e. time, period (general)
f. year
g. temporal references
1. today
2. yesterday
3. tomorrow

Each day we live is the first day of the rest of our life. This is over used and we don’t think about the depth of its meaning. This is why we are going to break it down, moment by prismatic moment. I leave you with what God enlightened me to start this amazing adventure I live “called” Kaleidoscope Butterfly, Inc.

There are people in life that build your strength and those that give you strength.

The irony is that usually the takers in life force you to build inner lasting strength due to the helplessness one can experience or the battle in isolation- due to trying to win with your own strength. The givers are the ones that come to your aid when you are bottoming out of self strength.

Neither is a lesser or more pivotal instrument in your personal evolution. Each simply a player in what I understand life to be: Moments, beautiful prismatic seconds twisting uniquely in and throughout our individual tunnel; refracting off the mirrors of our yesterdays which ultimately reflect our tomorrow and turn ever so awesomely into our life… for our eternal picture to form of who we intrinsically are. -Candace Huffmaster

Makes Me Wanna SHOUT!....(sing it with me now)

Genesis 1:1-4 (KJV) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.


Just when I think we can move beyond these first 4 scriptures of Gods story, I have to sit back, rest in His presence and say with all smallness….W…O..W! Even as I am typing this and looking above at the italicized words I see it more visibly. Hinged perfectly between nothing and everything good is the “Spirit of God moving”.

I am going to reflect and move forward for us. Hang tight Snoopy! Pull out those aviator goggles, scarf and gloves ….we are going into the great blue yonder!

We know that ra’ah means to see:

We are made in His image (we WILL get to those verses...just not today) in order to reach our full mature image we are trying to understand what our image looks like, behaves like and understand it. When I state we are reflecting and moving forward we have to pull all this in to truly see. As we look at what God saw, we also have to look at God. We have to observe him, watch him, look upon Him, give attention to Him, discern things and distinguish them. He gave us His spirit to be our helpmate (again, we will get to these scriptures) The Holy Spirit causes Him to be seen, His truth to be seen. His image is exhibited in us, and this causes others to see us….to see the very face of Christ.

We know that Badal means to separate:

We as His Body are set apart, distinguished for the purpose of making a difference – and the Holy Spirit is our indwelling in order to be able to make this difference. Apart from God we cannot make a lasting difference. We are one body yet different part of the same body. We are to withdraw or separate ourselves from things opposing God, unless we SEE we cannot discern these things. God separated us unto Himself; the sacrifice …a body to call His own.

We will add in this scripture from 1 Corinthians and I leave you with this blessing of peace for this day. Do not worry about tomorrow for Today has enough troubles of its own. Rest and Relax in the presence of God.

I Corinthians 2:9-11 (GWT)
But as Scripture says:
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love him.”
God has revealed those things to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches everything, especially the deep things of God. After all, who knows everything about a person except that person’s own spirit? In the same way, no one has known everything about God except God’s Spirit.

Where Does Darkness End and Light Begin?

In taking Genesis bit by bit and sitting with it, it might seem that we have not gained much ground.  If that is what you have been thinking, let me explain with a metaphor.  There are beautiful ground covering plants made to spread rapidly; their root systems are superficial.  There are also plants made to grow tall; giving covering from a height while protecting the ground covering in many ways.  This plant must be stable so it grows slowly anchoring its roots deeply within the earth simotaniously reach toward the heavens.  This is what we are doing.  Are we gaining ground? ...Absolutley!  We are going deep and hanging on so that we can rise up with wisdom, understanding, encouragement, and support.

Let's review - When God began this "new thing" it had two elements heavens / earth.  The characteristics of the earth were: formless, void, darkness.  We know that this darkness was over the surface of the deep.  We know that the Spirit of God was moving over the surace of the waters (which is the deep).   We know that God says He spoke the words,"Let there be light" and he says it happened.  We have taken the time to think about if we believe these things to be true.  We have thought about not doubting which clouds our ability to transform our hopes into real things.  So Today, let's look at what clarity of vision, purpose through confident faith looks like.

Genesis 1:4 God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. 

God imagined these designs in the depths of His mind.  God thought it all through just like He tells us to do when He says to count the cost, in Luke 14:28 (KJV)

For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?

So when this says that He saw that the light was good, He means that it was just like what He imagined.  It worked, it happened, it was complete.  AND He separated the light FROM the darkness. 

Today we are only going as far as "God saw the light was good".  The Hebrew word ra'ah is where we derived the english word saw.  Look at what this means: to see, look at, inspect, perceive and consider.
It also means to have vision, to look at, to regard and see after, to learn about, observe, watch, look upon, give attention to, discern and distinquish.  It means to cause to be seen, to exhibit, to cause to be seen by the other, face.

To truly see something we must use this complete sphere of sight or our view is distorted.  Think about this today "in the light".

Story To Be Told

We are continuing on with "God's Story being told" today.  In the scriptures from Isaiah 48 we want to look at verse 6 specifically.

"You have heard; look at all this. And you, will you not declare it? I proclaim to you new things from this time, Even hidden things which you have not known".

In verses 4 and 5 He was saying that He told us everything before hand because He knew we were obstinate.  We have looked at our defiant natures several times.  Today I would like to look at our nature from God's view point. 

In understanding what He meant from all the verses we have been through,  we realize He has been disclosing everything to us bit by bit.  For instance His story starts from the very beginning.  He did not start us in the middle of what was going on.  He tells us step by step creation as well as the reason for it.  In the verse 4 and 5 He is reiterating the reason for this.  "Because we are Obstinate"  The word because tells it all.  It means the reason for the condition.  The only reason God would painstakingly and repeatedly tell us things is because He love us.  He desires a better life for us.  He desire a relationship with us.  He tells us that we do not have a high priest that cannot understand our dilemma.  Why would He allow Christ to suffer...because He loves us and cares for us.  We know He says He first loved us.  Do you believe that?  We know a lot of information about God, we say be believe it.  God stated in this verse that He did all this because He "knew".  The Hebrew word that we derive this from is Yada, meaning to know by experience.  It also means to discern be acquainted.  These are living words not black and white.  They are rich, full of experiential knowledge.  When we "know" things about God do we know them in this way?  Look at what the verse below states about this type of "knowledge"

I Corinthians 8:1 Now concerning things sacrificed to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge makes arrogant, but love edifies.

Below I have put a few select verses on Love.  We know that love covers a multitude of sins.  We will be picking up here tomorrow.

Before You......

There is a difference between having a conversation with God and debating with God...
Let's use an example of a parent and child to stress where we are going with this:
  Child, "Dad I need to talk with you.  I am thinking of moving to where the economy is a bit better and there are more jobs in my area of expertise."  "I know you have done this many times so I would like to know what you think; you know my skill set as well as this industry."
  Dad, "I thought you might be thinking of this so I looked around and a company told me they will be opening up a new location right here.  The merger should be finalized in a couple of weeks.  I planted the idea of you coming on board with the men I was speaking with. They are going to talk with the branch manager."  
 Child," Well I appreciate that Dad, however, I really think I just want a change of scenery." "I just want to move and think the closing of our location is the perfect opportunity." 
 Dad, "I know it seems like that son, however, I have been looking all around the US for other businesses that are stable enough for you to consider moving; as well as all the expenses that go in to that move."  "It just is not good timing, you will face undue hardship if you go now."  "Before you set your mind, please take the time to consider these things."

In our passages we have been looking at how the spirit of God goes before us.  We know that His word tells us to consult with Him in all our ways so that our spirit may prosper and our souls may find rest. 

Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb,I knew you.Before you were born,I set you apart for my holy purpose.I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations.”

Matthew 5:12 Rejoice and be glad because you have a great reward in heaven!The prophets who lived before you were persecuted in these ways.

Matthew 6:8 Don’t be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

God is working on something...something larger than we can wrap our human pixels of comprehension around.  There was much more I wanted to say today...but I hear Him saying Shhhh.  Be silent....Be still.

So...of course this made me remember  a time years ago when He said this to me.

I have no idea what it is ....but I know He does, I will go find it now.  Be Still and Know He is God - That is my prayer for us all today.....Back in a minute with the close of this post.....
