Don't Worry; You've Got Time.....Till You Don't!

Our minister spoke on worry today.  Since I have spent my whole life running from worry it was quiet wonderful to have such a great presentation to glean from.  What I know understand is this:  As a society we clump many things under the label of “worry” when in fact they are mislabeled. God does not tell us to “not care”, “not be affected” or to unplug our emotions, heart and brain.  He simply states – don’t worry about the things which cause us to turn our eyes in on self and away from the “Big Picture”.
God tell us that we all have an amount of days to live out this life.  He also tells us that there are a number of days that the world as we know it will survive and then the end will come.  The most important things to God is Faith, Hope and Love and Love is the highest of all.  We know the reason for that – God IS Love and ALL things are united within Him.
Ecclesiastes speaks about these times as do many other scriptures.  We will not get into those today, but anytime you see a colored word in the daily thoughts click on them and it will open in another window with the information.  We are finalizing the Honestly Series.  Think about Jeremiah 1:5-10 and how that applies to all this. You may also click this link for something to stimulate deeper thinking this week: Pitifully Pity Filled Tear

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.
Then I said, Alas Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, because I am a youth.  But the Lord said to me, do not say, I am a youth, because everywhere I send you, you shall go, and all that I command you, you shall speak.  Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you, declares the Lord.
Then the Lord stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me, Behold I have put MY words in your mouth.  See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up and to break down, to destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant.  Jeremiah 1: 5-10 NAS

God Himself chooses who he will send and for what purpose.  It matters not what our natural capabilities, education or age is.  He appoints our heights, depths, widths, expanse and spans for the completion of plucking up, breaking down, destroying, overthrowing, planting and building.
You see all things are HIS.  He chooses to give them freely to His family.  God also allows others to use, abuse, replace, enhance, share and personally take credit for misuse or proper use of His belongings.  Remember, people, animals and all things comprising our universe are His “things”.
He has to shield His ecosystem; He must maintain proper health of environments which means out of love for the whole He cannot allow even one disruptive force when it starts to intoxicate the well being of His Kingdom.  So, He then instructs someone to pluck up and get rid of it before it poisons something He cherishes.
If we do not trust Him or are afraid and allow this toxin to stick around, we then have a harder task at hand. It grows by encompassing what is vulnerable folding it in to itself and causes a larger mess / mass.  Plucking it up is no longer an option it now has to be broken down.
Breaking something down takes support and community; a divided Kingdom will not stand God says.  When we allow evil to take root and weaken all it has come in contact with it is no different than a malignant cancer. It keep reproducing, growing and sucking the very goodness from the perfect will of God.  So God MUST destroy it.
What a grievous task this is for all life forces God delights in!  We all know in order to destroy what has come to harm even kill us, albeit at times a long slow suffer, even healthy cells get killed in order to save the whole.  And yet because they keep fighting for the good of His ecosystem the fight is won, the evil is over thrown; hooray!
Now God has something holy, lovely and pure again on which to build upon; a place of harmony where His seeds can be planted, thrive and provide all the health, wealth and prosperity that His Kingdom and those choosing to persevere without ceasing are rightful airs to.
So don’t worry; care and pray without ceasing for His Kingdom to come right here on earth today – as it is in Heaven.  Even cry a few pity-filled tears if THEY need!
With the Love of our Christ, drenched in thanksgiving for a life lived in Hope –
Because He lives!

Kisses,
Candace

Just Breath.....

We have been discussing many deep, honest thoughts.  This is an exerpt from Beautiful Mystery.  Just sit with it and breath today.  Just Breath.........and breath.......just breath.......

With Love,
Candace

Beautiful Mystery

Depth is like water: mysteries unknown,
Except to our Father whom created ebb and flow
Beauty is a mystery; it dwells in the mind;
And you all were created, within His divine
Seeing is mere sight: pleasures of the flesh;
A touch ignites feelings; the heat could consume
When emotions are pure the heart etches love
That my dear is beauty, so let us unfold

Waves are like thoughts; they rise from the deep,
The heart of the pull gives essence a seat
Layer upon layer, they wash and return,
Ambivalent emotions will crash all upon the shore
Positive - negative all lie within,
Power unyielding increases till released,
Gaining momentum which give rise to the wake
Lifting or hurling, only the depth knows,
We get the experience, when we let it all go
Smell is induction, which grabs at your mind,
Flowers and sweetness, purity and just
Or shameful and putrid, smelling foul to the nose,
Flaring the nostrils to expel such a stench,
Destroying all beauty and causes its descent.

God is so gracious, so eloquent in all;
His sounds transcend logic, compos lyrics at will,
Each one a memory that captures you….still

Still is where He needs us, so we may hear all
His essence, His sound waves; their explosion into space
Our minds are inadequate to originate such depth,
When listening we gain knowledge;
His thoughts move our world.......
Without Him we're inanimate; or did you not know?
Mere lifeless particles without His flow.
Think of the deep, the wave and the wake……
Think of creation: motion and form…….
The death, the resurrection: new life - same space...

Air is in everything; God breath to form,
When His breath is depleted, it surges back home
Who then has the right, to take breath away?
To suffocate the living; the making of Gods hand
If water can kill you, take your breath away….
Remove yourself from turbulence, before it overtakes

Remember your creation, the miracle of life:
Breath taken, life given: The breath of true lifeHow mighty that miracle: the very first breath;
Starting your journey of all ebb and flow,
Your time and tide written..... so very long ago.

To my Father, my Creator, I lift up my wind,
To flutter His knowledge; give depth to His breath
In all ways relinquishing might,  so that I might gain strength,
To rise within His waves of True Beauty through His grace.

The Window

I am dedication this to our sister Rebecca Sloan who now abides forever in His peace and joy. I pray that we all think about her sweet face meeting us as we too go home……one fine day. I lift up each of our grieving hearts to find comfort in His secret abode.

With Love,

Candace

The Window

Me inside; the elements out

The pain of glass between

The rain pelting down

From the swift moving forms

With weight so clear to see

Desiring the wet

To singe on my face

And run down

As the tears I can’t release

The pain before me

Stops the moist drops

So I sit, I watch: no emotion is drawn

Oh, to be that glass

Feel the wind and the rain

To pass through, even to the other side

Do I dare take a chance

To open up to the storm

Or stay safe in my home element free?

The pleasure of the rain

My mind peers to pursue

The sensation beyond the singe:

The cool to sink deep

To overcome the heat

To experience some comfort at last

The breeze which moves

The clouds in, through and past

To swaddle my freshly washed flesh

To sit in and see

Feeling trapped to live life

As I watch every element drift

My moment has passed

The rain letting up

The brightness of the sun is breaking through

Too intense to look out

So I turn my eyes in,

Close them softly and think of the day

When all will be done

And my savior will come

To release all weight holding me down

My peace comes from Him

No matter the day

The time or the season I’m in

My skin He will cool

And my tears He knows well—

No longer needing this world to absorb

We all have our hurts

It’s encouragement we need…..

The strength to get through “this” day

So again, I lay low

To lift up my pain

And the pain of the others I know

Our God sees our face

And our hearts he protects

He’s our warrior, our physician, our friend

Today when you hear

Do not harden your heart

As you did, in those earlier years.

Porcelain Soldier

Porcelain Soldier

Images shattered all around me
In my midst there is nothing as far as I can see
What I believed I saw in no longer standing
As I reach for what I held near, precious and dear
Like a porcelain soldier, attempting mighty battle
The truth attacked, needing only one direct blow
As the beautiful façade abruptly splintered
A vast cold darkness unknown to me appeared
My mind, heart and limbs now surely shaken
As the shards entered my tender trusting soul
What is real?  I feel as if all is reeling……
Why can I not see beyond this vast empty space
Me inside, all windows and doors now locked tightly
I hear deception creeping in from beneath the door
Sounding nothing familiar to my lovely soldier
Whom I trusted, loved... promising to adore
Why is not for me to know now......
To explain the unexplored depths of my ache
I hear the boast of the images past still mocking.....
Remembering their intent is to hurt showing they truly don't care
I believe I am loved and desired though,
By the only one who knows my deepest need
He tenderly cares while desiring to repair me
......All the cold callous rips into my very soul
He cries as I try to be strong, though it’s painful
To love them more than that which I have been shown
He encourages me to keep going
He gives me peace allowing me try yet again
To believe in those things which are promised
To have hope in the things I still cannot see
He tells me He knows what has happened
And that only His truth will set us free
No matter how strong the force is appearing
He promises in no way will they ever again punish me

I live and I love,  crying sometimes…..
But now the tears are not covering me
They are poured out upon those bound, blind and hurting...
Trusting in shadows of all that is real, near and here
I pray that you reach out allowing life to touch you
To ensure that what is surrounding you is really there
Blow His truth in trust that He loves all things
Never desiring to harm what is righteous, lovely and pure
We love because He first loved us…..
This I know and is where my feet are firmly ground
Because it is He that conquered all of these things
So we must know, even now,  He in us will have His eternal victory.

I know your battles and I care – deeply, honestly, passionately and freely

Distant, Far Away, Always Near

Lord take a walk with me today

This land is distant, but not far away

Amassed with clutter and debris

When my sight fails you see through defeat

In the safety of your embrace

I have complete joy within your peace

Engulfed in your spirit no fractures exist

In the stillness of Love I can hear the spirit grieve

Longing the experience of those still too far away

Knowing there is still much to learn

I watch closely as we go

With attentive ears I come to understand

Lifting your skills up to apply

Respecting this is not my natural suit

With no need to mention the state from which I came

When we battle for Love, it’s your victory that completes

With trust is in you, my self won’t compete

The destruction comes upon what destroys and kills

Yes indeed we celebrate with joy

But it is this defeat which brought Him the pain

I remember the cost to  his life…….

And praise God I was not asked to pay

With humble thanks,  I stand amazed

Watching the work of my mind, heart and hands

Knowing I own nothing that I can repay

If He chose to stop I would cease

Because without Him I desire not to be

So in this moment to honor His gift

I bow low for all to pass by

Landing grace upon others in need

His voice, truth and love will serve and sustain

Mercy I cry, my feet shod upon His

Now where He goes, there too I will ever be.

If ever we pass, please do not notice me

There is one more important you should see

His name is Jesus Christ the son of God

He’s the King of all Kings

The One who is mighty to save

At all times He is here and alive

It is true He does exist

And He is not too far away

Reach out He will touch to your soul

Call His name, He can hear

He will answer if you believe

Till then we are here as you can see

Know, too, I am human…. at times I might fail

But His grace overcomes and prevails

So in faith I speak from my heart,

Hoping His truth you hear when you need

He is with you at this moment and always……

His peace and love, I pray, comfort you as well

Perceived Through Belief

This week we are going to be looking at the life of Job. If the general teachings that I grew up on are anything like your own, then the pictures that you have carried around in your mind are something like this:

The sons of God came into the throne room, they are standing before the Lord and Satan enters in with the group. Satan is asked where he came from and he says from wandering the earth. The Lord offers up Job saying there is none like him on the face of the earth who fears Him and how he stays away from evil. Satan states that Job isn't "all that". He believes that if God did not give him protection, prosperity and bless all that his hands are involved in that Job like everyone else would curse Him. The Lord simply states to Satan,"Everything he has is in your power, but you must not lay a hand on him!" Satan leaves the Lords presence at this point and tries to prove he is right and God is wrong. Which leaves us with the questions of why would God allow all this pain to come upon such a decent guy?

Job lived in Uz we know nothing about this place except that it was somewhere in the Middle East. Probably somewhere in the Syrian Desert. This desert is the same place where the Lord sent Paul for his 3 years of one on one study with God. I am sure these two men were not the only ones that had to learn desert discipline - in fact I think that many of us have been, are in and will be on our own Syrian experience with the Lord.

So let's try and glean something from Job's life. Instead of going back over what we have been told of this account within Jobs life. Let's sojourn through it with him and see what we can find out along the way. Let's look at it as if we are in the cocoon as Job enters in to heal from all the pain and look at all the scenes in their fullness. (I am posted Kaleidoscope Key on http://www.seecreativityspeaks.blogspot.com/ if you did not have a chance to read it Saturday - it is revised as well).
We will start with Job 1 - His character: man of integrity, decent or upright, blameless, feared God, and stayed away from evil. Yesterday we looked at Proverbs 3:6, 7 this is exactly what Job did. knowing this much of Job, I believe that he trusted without wavering in Proverbs 3:8 which states: "It will be healing to your body and refreshment to your bones."
As for family, he had 7 sons and 3 daughters. He had been very blessed and multiplied owning 7,000 sheep and goats, 3,000 camels, 1,000 oxen, 500 donkeys, a large number of servants. He was the most influential person in the Middle East. Now that is something isn't it?
But let's take a personal look at Job - we would think that He didn't have a worry in the world (except all the responsibility of overseeing all this blessing). His sons were might have been party animals it states that they took turns throwing parties at their homes and they would send invites to their three sisters to come eat and drink with them. Job took action, based on his faith. When the parties were over Job gather them all together to cleanse them of their sin by sacrificing burnt offerings for each of them. It reads as thought this were an every morning thing because it states he did this for them "all the time". As a parent, believing the same things Job believed I know the distress that it would cause me. Jobs thoughts are recorded so we do not have to assume. "My children may have sinned and cursed God in their hearts."
Looks like Job had some children, that in his mind were Mr Fools, heading for a collision with Mr Crisis. Today think about how we can be so blessed and yet the people in our lives are constantly draining us of our peace. We can stop and judge them for being so foolish, we can discern the situation and pray for them, we can speak the truth to them in hope of them repenting and finding wisdom, or we can harden our heart to their condition and worry about ourselves. Think about those options today, think about how your actions affect others around you, then pray for wisdom, discernment and faith that will not fail due to fear of evil.
I pray this for all of us,
Kisses,
Candace

My prayers and heart are chasing you down to day.....just bask in it!

Beautiful Mystery
Lift up my heart, that I might sing,
Beautiful melodies, in praise of your name
Open my arms, that I might embrace,
All of your children, in need of your grace
Put forth my feet, that I might dwell,
Among the lost shinning, to pass on your light
Burst your breath from my lips, which worship your words,
Their deaf ears must hear to follow you home
Give my eyes vision, which I gladly receive,
To aid those held captive….to finally be freed.

All that I am was created for you,
For relationship, family, courage and love,
To strengthen and give beauty, among a fallen and lost world

Helplessly falling, they have no strength to withstand,
Be there, embrace them, and steady their stance….
Your hand is strong now, the grip is in mine
I hold you tight and will never let go
My brave little angel you are never alone,
Pick up and flutter; you do that so well
With sounds of your laughter….from my eyes are tears of joy
You are home now and happy; Oh, I welcome you so…..
Please never leave me I have waited so long,
To be here with you…… inside your soul

Don’t look back embarrassed, I have washed all away
Let’s move away quickly: be free of this space
Your home is my mansion and filled with my grace

Women and beauty -please help our eyes to see;
What is it you are saying, which will set them all free?

Depth is like water: mysteries unknown,
Except to our Father whom created ebb and flow
Beauty is a mystery; it dwells in the mind;
And you all were created, within His divine
Seeing is mere sight: pleasures of the flesh;
A touch ignites feelings; the heat could consume

When emotions are pure the heart is etched in love
Now that my beloved is beauty, so let us unfold

Waves are like thoughts; they rise from the deep,
The heart of the pull gives essence its seat
Layer upon layer, it washes and returns,
When mixed with emotions, all can crash upon the shore
Positive - negative all lie within,
The power unyielding increases till released,
Gaining momentum which give rise to the wake
Lifting or hurling, only the depth knows,
We get the experience, when we let it all go
Smell is induction, grabbing your mind,
Flowers and sweetness, purity and just
Or shameful and putrid, smelling foul to the nose,
Flaring my nostrils to expel such a stench,
Destruction of true beauty and the cause of its descent
God is so gracious, so eloquent in all;
His sounds transcend logic, composing lyrics at will,
Each one a memory that captures you….still

Still is where He needs us, so that we may all hear
His essence, His sound waves; the explosion of space
Our minds are too small to originate such depths,
When listening we gain knowledge; He moves our world
We are inanimate, or did you not know?
Mere lifeless particles without His flow
Think of the deep, the wave and the wake……
Think of our creation, motion and form…….
Then death through resurrection: His life in new space

Air is in everything God breathed to form,
When His breath is depleted, it surges back home
Who then has the right, to take breath away?
To suffocate the creation of Gods own mighty hand
If water can kill you, take your breath away….
Remove yourself from turbulence before it overtakes

Remember your creation, the miracle of life:
Breath taken, life given – The breath of true life
How mighty that miracle, of the very first breath,
Starting the journey, of all ebb and flow,
Time and tides written……… so long ago
To my Father and Creator, I lift up my wind,
To flutter His knowledge; give depth to His breath
In all ways relinquishing power so that I might gain strength,
To rise up on His wave of True Beauty through His grace.

This Life is a Journey.....Satan and Tests

The Afters - Light up the Sky

Thank you all for the wonderful group today - it is always such a pleasure to be with you all.  Please remember the challenge : to praise God for being so gracious and all mighty, to pray for others in areas you journal about, to request that your spirit prosper even as your soul prospers and then anything else you might desire to pray through.  The poem to continue thinking on our discussions today is also posted.

I felt that this song would be such a great way to end this week and start the Memorial Day weekend.  If you have the ability go purchase a few sparklers and go Out, Out, Out in the night to watch Him Light, Light, Light up the sky's for you.  He IS with you....and you in my hearts!

My love to you all.....Right where you are =D
Kisses,
Candace

Life is a Journey
         Satan and Tests

So easily you give up;  to vanity your souls
You see a reality, but can you truly see?

The glitz and glitter dazzle, are you blinded by their light?
The longings wrap around you,
This world creeps close and tight....

Another day another night, you roll without a clue
Passing much too quickly, to glimpse eternal truths
What you think you see are clear visions
 Composed of darkness and light

In the darkness secrets are deeply hidden
In a vault behind a locked door
To expose to light to makes you shudder
Longing for blindness you're drawn deeper into the snare
Walking in.. the tangle of webs wrap about you
My light floods Illumination in search of you
Its quest:  liberation of your Soul to soar great heights

You must master your soul within the spirit
Whatever owns your heart will master your true life
Deep, dark, gripping snarls from one master
Yet created for joy, peace and light
This body is not timeless - so stop striving
Your soul will have a home ..... this is your choice
Your eyes and heart may wander for seasons
But your designer ends all roads of a life time

We do not receive the road map to follow
Our eyes must not lead us astray
We must embrace faith to be guided
We hire our own guide with the time we pay
Trust is the purest of payments
Your heart, through love, will lead you home
Through the doorway of Darkness... bound by guilt and misery
Or passing by that into brightness beyond our belief

Letters, Words, Phrases of Praise

Good Saturday Morning my lovelies,

I know you are already writing - but if you are blocked I jotted a quick poem to stir you.  Remember, you don't have to write pros.  It doesn't even have to be original - adapt something and make it your own.  That is exactly what we do with the bible ya know.  God just asks us to think on it, meditate on it and then let it take on your life and you it's.

So to day, walk around in your cloak of letters, words and phrases that praise God.  Write them, speak them, sing them.  Reach through someones chaos and touch them with them.  Let God be in every moment of your day - because He is you know!

That is my prayer for us all today,
Kisses in Christ,
Candace

Letter, Words, Phrases of Praise

Writing and thinking; thinking and writing
Fills the lines of this day
As my thoughts go
So goes my life
This is the truth that I say

The glory of God
 Fills the letters that combine
The words come together to praise

All moments are His
This day he has blessed
Glory to His name on High

Looking Deeply At The Hands Holding Back The Storm

Good Morning Everyone -

How has the journey through your thoughts been going?  Have you been thinking a bit more "Deeply" these days.  Today I ask that you think on just one line in the poem My Shadow.

Look past the day you’re traveling, to the hands holding back the storm
No valley will overtake you; no journey will be too long

The devotional below by Mr. Os Hillman is perfect to think about today.  I pray that you focus on the hands holding back the storms in your life.  What ever you are going through, have gone through or dare I mention ...will be going through in the future - just praise God that His hands have been holding back the tsunami that could have been.  "What If" they hadn't?  Can you imagine what the storm "would have been like"?  We won't go there..... today =D

My love to each of you, in the precious name of our Christ,
Candace

Spiritual StrongholdsTGIF Today God Is First Volume 1 by Os Hillman
Wednesday, February 16 2011

"The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds." - 2 Corinthians 10:4

One of the great discoveries I made in later years in my walk with God has to do with living in victory over generational strongholds. The Bible speaks of punishing the children for the sins of the fathers to the third and fourth generations. (See Exodus 20:5.) The only way out of living under the curses of generational strongholds is to acknowledge them before the Father and repent of their reign in our lives. This breaks the curse's future effects.
A stronghold is a fortress of thoughts that controls and influences our attitudes. They color how we view certain situations, circumstances, or people. When these thoughts and activities become habitual, we allow a spiritual fortress to be built around us. We become so used to responding to the "voice" of that spirit, that its abode in us is secure. All of this happens on a subconscious level.
As a businessman, I discovered that I had been influenced by a generational stronghold of insecurity and fear that was manifested in control. This subconscious fear motivated me to become a workaholic, to seek recognition through activities, to control others' behavior to avoid failure, and to have a relationship with God that was activity-based instead of relationally-based. One day God brought about a number of catastrophic events that forced me to look at what was behind these events. I found that the influence of these strongholds was at the core of these symptoms. The Bible speaks of this war on our souls.
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete (2 Corinthians 10:3,5-6).
The steps to freedom for me came when someone shared that these were sins that I was harboring, and in order to walk free of their influence, I needed to repent of them. It was through the power of the cross that I no longer needed to be subjugated by their presence. Once I took this step, I began to walk free of their influences. Besides salvation, this became the most important discovery in my entire Christian walk. My relationship to Christ changed immediately. I began to hear God's voice. I began to trust Christ in areas I never thought possible. I could truly experience the love of Christ for the first time.
This knowledge helped me in business as well. One day I was in the middle of a contract negotiation with another Christian businessman. A lawyer had jumped in the middle of the negotiation. My friend began to surface many old feelings that were a source of pain from his past. When I perceived that a stronghold of insecurity and fear was at the core of his response, I interrupted his argumentative discussion with me and said with a very forceful tone, "I am no longer going to listen to the spirit of insecurity that is speaking through you right now! If you don't refrain from this, I am going to leave!" My friend was taken back. He looked at me quite startled. After a few moments, he agreed with my diagnosis. We talked through what he was feeling and completed our negotiation without further incident.
What are the true motivations of your heart? Have you ever looked deeply at these motivations? You might find that these subconscious motivations may be preventing you from experiencing the fullness of Christ in your life. Ask Him to reveal these and then repent of their influences.

We Can't Make a Solid Plan When We Do Not Understand

I am glad to say that at the moment (knowing it could happen at any time) the chaos that we are dealing with in crisis situations is not from our learning curve.  I do not say that to boast mind you.  This year already is proving to be an epiphany fireworks display.

For instance, how many times have we referred to the writing  "My Shadow" whether in the Creativity Speaks groups, women's groups etc, it has been many.  The process of coming into relationships, hearing our Sheppard's voice and maturing so that we are not deceived is explained in this creative writing.

Click on the TGIF tab to read what Os Hillman has to add to our understanding.  You can also go to our search tab (top left) type in shadow and refresh your thoughts from past information.  Sit with God today, let His spirit disclose anything hidden for you to see, follow Christ's examples and rise to apply what you have seen.

Only use what you understand clearly.  Where you are lacking fullness you are not supposed to take action, you are supposed to be seeking clarity, provision and confidence that you CAN do it - through Him.

With Love,
Candace

My Shadow

Let me write something pretty for you, Lord,

Let me raise my voice high.

Stir my spirit to praise you, glorifying my King.

The valley I did travel, the journey many years long,

At times I had no vision, the walls too close to see,

No feeling of compassion along my dusty road.

Hear this, my lonely traveler, My words shall persevere!

They are pounding on the pavement as feet running to be at your side.

Patience… please stop running; you are abandoning all your help!

My plan was set in motion when your first tear hit my hand.

I am your way, my sojourner; your road is up ahead.

Make plans after you’ve listened; not while you are trying to understand.

Willful dispositions, glide on the surface like glass,

The reflections are all around us; the image of each man.

My image is why you were created as my father said it was to be,

Mighty men with wasted power ‘til my reflection is what is seen.

Trials and tribulations focus the eyes to see,

Whose reflection is in the mirror?

Judging what is to be…

Focus placed on the superficial, mirrors life gone by,

In the valley of destruction, shadows still reflect

Until challenge breaks the mirror, casting fragments out of reach.

Moving forward now takes decisions,

The eye and mind unite within ,

The heart discerns the image…

Showing a reflection of the true man.

Look past the day you’re traveling,

To the hands holding back the storm,

No valley will overtake you,

No journey will be too long.

I am the Man, and you, my shadow,

I walk through the valley first,

I rose and now you’re with me,

No matter what we’re passing through.

I cast my shadow with purpose,

Made from blocking harsh light,

Harm can only come to the person,

I am that person, your Christ.

The reflection is not tangible, nor the shadow that has been set,

This is just as the spirit, transcendent of the flesh,

Reality is a lesson, the mind a tool to tame.

The learned are My inspiration… My leaders among all men.

Prayer in Pros

Father, you are Lord God Almighty
                    and Holy is that name
I came into your presence
and I will never be the same
Your voice, of all creation,
                    empowers me to move
Your light shone on my darkness,
                   the truth it did unfold
My ear that you created
                  persuaded me to think
The Spirit, which is Holy,
                  ran deeply through my veins
You washed away the images;
you cast them far from my mind
You replaced then with your vvision
as you tenderly shed some light
You called me to come closer
I rose to walk your way
I listened as you uncovered
                  the secret without shame
To me, you are my Savior
                   my reason for my hope
To do just as you will me
                    is my deepest hearts desire
Today, if just for one moment
                  open my eyes to see
A glimpse of my God passing
                   the baton and touching me
Show me of your great things
                    Instruct my limbs to stretch
Increase my perseverance
in you I will pass all tests
Together we will storm heaven
to release what is bound for all time
Hosanna in the Highest
                     the purest sacrifice
In Him we all have salvation
in Him we are clean and pure
In Him we are risen to approach you
in Him we can see your throne
We are Holy, because you are Holy
We are the body and we are one
You call us to come in beside you
To take our place as your bride
We honor you with our submission
after all, you are the King of Kings
There is but one Redeemer
now we know and we choose His name
Together we call for our children
"come home, how we love you so!"
"Don't stay in the presence of danger,"
"there is power for you to escape!"
"Return by the way which you entered"
"seek to hear and to see"
"It is not as far as they have told you"
"for our Christ has risen indeed!"

Amen..........
Hallelujah..........
Shalom...............

What Do You Want From Me!

I have been prayerfully working on several things for our devotions this week.  However, that is not what is up here today.  It seems that I am going in a different direction - so forgive me as I publicly think through it all.

This is a combination of things my prayer in pros - scripture and as always some rambling thoughts that are not definitive in any way.  I hope that some of you will use what God is speaking to you and share it here so that He has a larger voice to our large audience.

I am thankful that we are many - united in and under Him.
Kisses,
Candace

Journal entry January 14, 2011

We are His canvas: His story on stage
He is before them creating the details day by day
As they spectate the wonders of His skill
They see His mastery of creative design
Working on each as His story evolves
He puts no less care into one than the next
Each illustrating a pivotal piece
Of His love, and mercy which is just when it defeats
Now in view before them
They may see all things clear
Do they fall to their knees?
Do they not even think twice?
Does the Spirit have room to move within that full house?

These are my questions from here on the stage
As I stand in my place watching His immense grace
I am happy to be here, allowing Him to use me
To create just what is needed
For He knows what they will see

When I was writing this I was thinking about how God uses us like we use our canvas, books, live conversations etc.  We are truly implements of creative display - only alive.  We speak of how artist work "speak" to us.  But do we ever think about the fact that each of us are that painting or written composition that sits around day after day - week after week getting tweaked.

I read a couple of Psalms that I am placing between these thoughts. I was reading it after I journaled this morning.  I believe they will add much detail from the mind and heart of God and yet another work of art He created many years ago:

Psalm 40 - For the choir director; a psalm byDavid.

I waited patiently for the Lord.
He turned to me and heard my cry for help.
He pulled me out of a horrible pit,
out of the mud and clay.
He set my feet on a rock
          and made my steps secure.
He placed a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God.
Many will see this and worship.
            They will trust the Lord.
Blessed is the person
who places his confidence in the Lord
and does not rely on arrogant people
               or those who follow lies.
You have done many miraculous things, O Lord my God.
You have made many wonderful plans for us.
          No one compares to you!
I will tell others about your miracles,
which are more than I can count
You were not pleased with sacrifices and offerings.
You have dug out two ears for me.
You did not ask for burnt offerings or sacrifices for sin.
Then I said, "I have come!
(it is written about me in the scroll of the book)
I am happy to do your will, O my God."
Your teachings are deep within me.
I will announce the good news of righteousness
     among those assembled for worship.
I will not close my lips.
               You know that, O Lord.
I have not buried your righteousness deep i my heart.
I have been outspoken about your faithfulness and your salvation
       from those assembled for worship.
Do not withold your compassion from me, O Lord.
May your mercy and your truth always protect me.
    Countless evils have surrounded me.
My sins have caught up with me so that I can no longer see.
They outnumber the hairs on my head.
                               I have lost heart.
O Lord, please rescue me!
Come quickly to help me, O Lord!
Let all those who seek to end my life
be confused and put to shame.
Let those who say to me, "Aha! Aha!
be stunned by their own shame.
Let all who seek you rejoice and be glad because of you.
Let those who love your salvation continually say,
   "The Lord is great!"
But I am oppressed and needy.
May the Lord think of me.
You are my help and my savior.
O my God, do not delay!

We all know how loved David was by God and look at his great out pouring.  Even in his great need he was still praying for others while he was praying for help for himself.

These are all our stories; these are the days of our life.  We are one with the Father; through the Son we are bound in this abode.  Let us listen to what He is saying, let us fold in to what daily unfolds.

Good Moring Dad-
Here I am facing toward you
Asking for the ancient path so that all will be well with my soul.

All I am askin
all is what I need
all that flows from your hand
to paint a full picture of me

Tell me how to use it
Tell me what to believe
Your spirit spreads within me
to enlighten my simple mind
He charges into the darkness
pumping life from my once fractured heart
He fills my mind with the memories
Of all that was - with knowledge of what will forever be

Explain to me in your wise counsel
use the pieces of what I understand
Bridge the lack and the weakness
To tranform the things I can see
into the brillance of your enlightenment
Into the realms of the unknown
Beyond what mere man can teach me
Beyond what our understanding, alone, can know

I thank you, my Father and redeemer
I humbly lay myself low
My request although it is simple
Is all together the most I can ask
To know you as I believe you
To see the truth in your light
To live in peace with all people
To fight only the good fight througout this life.

In Christ we are free Indeed -
For us all I pray,
Candace

If you get a chance you should read psalm 49 - the last stanza is this "Mortals, with what they treasure, still don't have understanding.  They are like animals that die." (GWT - as was the previous psalm)

Conversations with my Dad

Today I thought I was going to get us back on track with our study of Genesis and God’s story being told. Maybe this is on track and I simply do not realize it at this point.

However, as I was spending time conversing with God this morning He moved me to lay down my plans and just listen for awhile. I think He has something to say to someone so I will put it out here without holding anything back.

My prayers are that it was not just one, it was all of us. I am praying for all our bodies needs to be met in a powerful way today. He is God and we believe that!

Hallelujah, with the love of our Christ Jesus,

Candace

Good Morning Dad,

Right now at this moment I spot to hear what you have to say. My heart has been softening because this morning I have been pouring out praise.

My ears have been perked to catch the calm of your tender voice. My knees have lowered my soul to raise my food and life in my humble hands – at the feet of my Lord and Savior , your son, my reason for hope and life.

Now I sit to enjoy perfect harmony with the one and only God of all: my dad, the lover of all of us, my Lord that has conquered all. I know that I am still speaking even though seeking you is my hearts desire. It is just that you overwhelm me – maybe there is still something I need to release? I give you all my anxiety because in you I should be in total peace.

This is your holiest of holies. This is where I am alone with you. This is where I am to enjoy life. This is where liberty meets me.

Today, I will be still in your presence, today I am turning to shut the door. Today, I release ALL bondage saying goodbye to my unloyal friends. Today, I receive all you offer, today I plant all your heart has desired. Today, I am missing nothing and now there in nothing incomplete.

My life is perfect for your harvest. My life is yours for the take. My life is Christ’s to live victorious….in Him I have everything!

Live my Lord, among your people: walk and let them see, speak the might that calms nations, breath your breath upon the winds, embrace all those held captive, comfort them till they find their way.

Tell them right now at this moment, your angels are charging their way. Tell them to wait in your presence. Tell them we are on our way. Tell them you do not send false prophets – to listen for YOUR voice to be heard. Whisper right now in their presence. Tell them this is the voice they will hear. Tell them we are but one body. Tell them this is the mystery to seek. Tell them they too are coming. ….coming home protected to our King.

Thank you Father – amen.

Here is a psalm, poem or conversation what ever you want to label it that I believe He shared with me years ago to complete this and I didn’t even know it till today – I thank God that He is God and I know that I am not =D Live, Love, Laugh today…claim your years and let Him live in your stead!

Riding the Wave

Dearest Father, I praise all that you are
Enlarge my simple space, to encompass even more
Your presence to share freely, is my deepest hearts desire
Your vision and compassion, directing my path to walk
Preserve all of your ways; speak your truth to light their dark.

As I bow at here at your feet, prostrate, I die to this world
Allowing my space for life; fill this container with truth
With your thoughts, visions and dreams: fulfillment of this world unseen.
You know I believe in you, yet what I know is not yet complete
Your promises are firm; it is that which holds tight my feet
Though some bridges I walk will shake, just as the mountains surely will fall
It is you repelling all foes, so my flight is successful and complete:
My height over the mountains entering straight through your glorious gate
You close tight your boundaries to always keep me safe
You so love all your children, we see this through your grace.

So This Day open up your heavens; receive in all my praise
Send down your righteous angels to cover this world’s pain
Thank you my sweet savior, your blood upon our cross
May your words now be heard as mighty
They still provide in the time for your lost.

My sweet precious angels, you are already in their midst
You love them with out ceasing,
You lay and listen at my feet
All days I am watching,
My eyes never cease to see
My tears rain down on your heads,
My mercy will ease all the pain.

You love me and do not worry, so your needs are known and met
Do not look to another; this is not your home
My hand is always your master and all keys lye within my grip
Your heart is my home in all ways; here you’re home within me.

Understand - this is the flow of the oceans tides,
This tide of love rolls into your life
What rises up within you will cover their weakened life
My words flow causing movement: the rise and to some the wake
I then roll into the body, which will never return to me void
You see, in this ocean people are diving
The battle is in the deep
Some are raised within my current;
Some drown or are tossed about
It is my love which lifts all higher,
Yet the tow is pulling others down.
When they trust and float within my will;
When they believe in “the way” of which I speak
No boat will ever be needed, my life will always sustain.

Keep riding throughout this world, from river into stream
Flow within my essence: my provision and my strength
Your journey is forever promised and my faithful father commands…..
All His life giving angels to continue circling while establishing peace.

The Reality Of Our Path

"The Lamp of the Body"
oil painting by Candace Huffmaster © 2007 all rights reserved

Luke 11:34"Your eye is the lamp of your body. when your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body also is full of darkness."
When I read this verse, a pair of eyes burned vividly into my imagination. The eyes were filled with sadness. I pictured Jesus interceding for us, the Holy Spirit grieving, asking our Father to forgive us ...yet again. I think about the eyes of the people I pass daily, or individuals I know well, sometimes the pain in their eyes is as intense as the ones I imagined. Other times I can see in their eyes they are far away, excited, or disappointed.

My favorite eyes are those of my children who love me dearly. When I look into their eyes I feel joy, pride and compassion. I know there is a day, not too far from now when I will be looking into the loving eyes of my Father. I pray for the strength, courage, wisdom, and humility to be all he needs me to be; so that I might be able to see the same emotions in His eyes as He says to me,"Well done my child, you have served me well."

Connective Cog

We are but a part, a connective cog,
Positive energy or broken and exposed.
Our eyes connect, though infused by our hearts,
With goodness to help or darkness shall fall.
To look in the face of those who we meet,
The circular pathways stare back in our face.
Each person, a universe…we all exist in our own,
Created no different than the world that we know.
Who rules the planet? Your pathways meet…
The rotation and pull…does it collide or make way?
Is there lift off or desolation? Could anything exist?
One God and one vision, there’s no room for more,
Our Creator, divine, who cannot be improved.
We take our blessings then think we know more
Move out of His energy, our natural pull
Negative energy, like opposite poles,
Has to connect with the positive to realign,
Ending the force which repels, and throws down,
The universe you travel, but do you realize your path?
Is it synergy in motion or out of control?
God in His provision, made perfect your path.
Study and ask Him, He will positively pull
Your desire to travel in His universe alone

Make Sure in Your Planning You Remember God

Our Plans and God's Plans
TGIF Today God Is First Volume 1 by Os Hillman

"Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails." Proverbs 19:21

Have you ever heard of someone who spent years of preparation for one vocation only to end up doing something completely different? Perhaps this could be said of you. Quite often we have in our minds what we believe we want to do only to have a course correction. Often the course correction comes through a major crisis that forces us into an area that we would never have considered.

Such was the case for Samuel Morse. Born in 1791, Morse grew up desiring to be an artist, and he eventually became very talented and internationally known. However, it was difficult to make a living as an artist in America during that time. A series of crises further complicated his vocational desire when his wife died; then his mother and father also died soon after. He went to Europe to paint and reflect on his life. On his return trip aboard a ship, he was captivated by discussions at dinner about new experiments in electromagnetism. During that important occasion, Morse made the following comment, "If the presence of electricity can be made visible in any part of the circuit, I see no reason why intelligence may not be transmitted by electricity." In the face of many difficulties and disappointments, he determinedly perfected a new invention, and, in 1837, applied for a patent that became what we know today as the telegraph. He also created Morse code. It was only later, after many more setbacks and disappointments, that his projects received funding.
Samuel Morse later commented, "The only gleam of hope, and I cannot underrate it, is from confidence in God. When I look upward it calms any apprehension for the future, and I seem to hear a voice saying: 'If I clothe the lilies of the field, shall I not also clothe you?' Here is my strong confidence, and I will wait patiently for the direction of Providence." Morse went on to create several other inventions and can be recognized today as the father of faxes, modems, e-mail, the internet and other electronic communication. ["Glimpses," Issue #99 (Worcester, Pennsylvania: Christian History Institute, 1998).]

God's plans may not always seem to follow our natural inclination. Perhaps God has you taking a path that may not lead to His ultimate destination for you. Trust in the Lord, lean not on your own understanding, acknowledge Him in all you do, and He shall direct your path (see Prov. 3:5-6).

Some of you may have read the poem Kaleidoscope Butterfly already. Even if you have take the time to read it again and reflect on what Os was speaking of today. My prayers and love rain down on each of you.
I thank each of you for your continued prayers for my restoration in all ways...
Candace

Kaleidoscope Butterfly

Nonsensical confidence of solid ground,
Amidst dissuading movement of all that abounds,
Without hesitation, reclined on this plane,
Seemingly anchored, as all life forms sway.
So subtle the wind, as it tousles the limbs,
Crisp wisps of foliage, giggling on end,
Now deeply planted as one with the earth,
All tension draining, giving rise to a breath like a birth.
Embraced by my nostrils, is this fragrant bouquet,
Engulfing my being like a gentle, rolling wave.
Not losing one moment, deeply merged, now entwined,
Is this peaceful pristine beauty-- so delicately floating by.
I capture each moment, gently cupped in my hands,
Like a kaleidoscope butterfly on a whimsical spring day,
Not desiring to tarnish her beauty or hesitate her fluttering flight,
Simply to pause her passage, embrace the vision, before she vanishes from sight.

Ambiguous perceptions, my reality shifts,
In slow motion, drawn backward, to the ground I drift.
Though I reach the same destination, it is as a child I now lay,
Overhead, in my innocence, I see life the clouds;
What form they take and how long they stay?
Mom look, it’s a dragon…. blowing fire… do you see?
Too late mom, it’s a pig now… see there… bouncing that ball?

Creating new memories, skillfully blending the past,
Aromatic spices comprised of rich seasons that pass.
My hunger now satisfied and its’ appetite well-fed,
While gathering stray belongings, my mind desires to reflect:

Plantings and seedlings and how they all fit;
A harvest though abundant, the choice is a producers’ pick;
Trust and faith are gold nuggets - material value cannot be obtained;
Never cling to today’s reality, for tomorrow it will change;
Even cold, callous winters are forgiven amidst soft summer rain;
And though flowers emit fragrance, wearing beauty as clothes,
Only God determines her season… and through His will she grows.

From Coversations With My Dad

TRUE LIFE IN ALL FORMS

Life constantly spinning all around;
unanswered questions still abound
Noise and commotion appear in my face
They cloud my world, so I unleash my faith.
Walk swiftly my sister, no longer my child;
The captives are waiting they’re not easily found
My arm stretches out; the good will be found
Darkness cannot cover me within them
The blessed are the innocent as time draws to an end
All peace at this time comes from within;
External pressures compress their will
True life, in all forms ,comes from above;
Separation, distinction, space and time
Are all are contenders in My grace divine
Be patient my angel, you are on your way home
I’m here before you, my face still not seen;
Right now in your mind as you imagine me to be
Just think of our Father and his divine plan;
Created you an image… right from His mind
You see how you stand here,
Do you know what you reflect?
It is His image so all will know that I exist.
Remember in the mirror and all that you saw?
Not your face but me, looking back into you
A vision not created by mere man;
But that of my Father made pure and complete.
Walk gently, walk slowly with deliberate steps
I’m here right beside you never dropping your hand
Life is for living not missing one thing;
Blessings of abundance are coming your way.
Your heart is still beating now with my blood;
Each pulse is life spirit of goodness from above.
Breathe deep my sweet angel and enjoy that fresh smell;
Release in assurance of a life bought by Me
A gift to my Father, one more soul I’ve saved;
There are many still searching,
There is more work still to do.
Just follow behind me, my God will not fail;
His purpose was written on the sun, moon and stars
The heavens contain it; such splendor unseen
One day, together, all answers we will know
Till then let us wander all corners of the earth,
Waving our banner to spread our concern
The days are not longer, no shorter indeed!
My father is watching; we are all on bended knee
Much mercy and compassion are here for the take
Don’t be disappointed when they do not reach
Keep going, keep hoping their names I know
By stopping time is wasted: let’s hurry up home
Too long I have been waiting; I miss you all
Let’s scream, jump and worship at the top of our lungs
“Jesus is coming; He’s calling us home!”
“Please don’t dare wander; His face is in view!”
“People will perish, He said it is so!”
“Come with us quickly; We see the way”
“My brothers and sisters we are all different age!”
“Each has a mission, a vision, a dream;
Planted and created for this time of need!”
“The workers are needed to come to the field;
The storms are around us but the crops will still yield!”
“ Trust in the Savior and do not look back!”
“ Keep planting and sowing, more seeds can still grow;
No torrents will touch you, you are under His wing!”
“Sunshine is promised and pride of the crops;
Together we will harvest and enjoy the spoils:
Life of abundance, eternally our home!”

The Best Fishing Spot

If we look back at yesterdays verses in Genesis we know that God even created the best fishing holes.  Well maybe that wasn't his defining purpose, however we can utilize it for an analogy =D.

If you are an avid fisherman, when you are trying to catch a certain "kind" of fish you look for where they are drawn to by their nature.  You know what type of lure, bait or trap to utilize and they you wait patiently after you have "set" the trap.  This is because that is how God ordained things to be.  He created the origin of nature, distinction of characteristics of species and habitats in which they would thrive.

We can use our minds to understand all these complex thoughts, but can you imagine being the Deity that created them?  Can you imagine what God imagined (and it was so)?  The book of Job enlightens us on God's answer to the questions; Chapter 38:

Then the Lord answered Job out of the storm.  Who is this that belittles my advice with words that do not show any knowledge about it.  Brace yourself like a man!  I will ask you and you will teach me.
Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?  Tell me if you have such insight.  Who determined it's dimensions?  Certainly, you know!  Who stretched a measuring line over it?  On what were it's footing's sunk?  Who laid its cornerstone when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?  "Who shut the sea behind gates when it burst through and came out of the womb, when I clothed it with clouds and wrapped it up in dark clouds, what I set a limit for it and put up bars and gates, when I said, " You may come this far but no farther.  Here your proud waves will stop?  "Have you ever given order to the morning or assigned a place for the dawn so that it could grab the earth by its edges and shake wicked people out of it?  The earth changes like clay stamped by a seal, and parts of it stand out like fold in clothing.  Wicked people are deprived of their light and an arm raised in victory is broken.  have you gone to the springs in the sea or walked through the valleys of the oceans depths?  Have the gateways to death been revealed to you, or have you seen the gateways to total darkness?  Have you even considered how wide the earth is?  Tell me, if you know all of this!

"What is the way to the place where light lives?  Where is the home of darkness so that you may lead it to its territory, so that you may know the path to its home?  You must know because you were born then and have lived such a long time!  Have you been to the warehouses where snow is stored or seen the warehouses for hail that I have stored up for the time of trouble, and the day of battle and war?  Which is the way to the place where light is scattered and the east wind is spread across the earth?  "Who made a channel for the flooding rains and a path for the thunderstorms to bring rain on a land where no one lives, on a desert where there are no humans, to saturate the desolate wasteland in order to make it sprout with grass?  Does the rain have a father?  Who gave birth to the dewdrops?  From whose womb came the ice, and who has given birth to the frost in the air?  The water hardens like a stone, and the surface of the ocean freezes over.  "Can you connect the chains of the constellation Pleiades or untie the ropes of Orion?  Can you bring out the constellations at the right time or guide Ursa Major with its cubs?  Do you know the laws of the sky or make them rule the earth?  Can you call to the clouds and have a flood of water cover  you?  Can you send lightening flashes so that they may go and say to you, Here we are?  Who put wisdom in the heart or gave understanding to the mind?  Who is wise enough to count the clouds or pour out the water jars of heaven when the dirt hardens into clumps and the soil clings together?

We will start back tomorrow with the rest of God's answer to our questions..as for today. Sit with him to listen and learn from the Master of spinning thoughts, story lines and purposes.  Glean from His knowledge, Listen to His plans and be more than wooed.....Be inspired...Be Propelled....Live the Zoe Life He created.
Starting this moment, it a choice, an option.  It is not forced because He loves you deeply, honestly, passionately but mostly freely with a love that is intended to lift us up, feel soft and beautiful, and yet boldly fierce to protect you.  Please See that today.
With the Love of our Christ,
Candace

A Worthy Display

A Worthy Display

Running and taking off, flying and free
My crippled feet, powerful, I lift off without wings,
By faith alone, my heart is soaring,
Strong arms carry me home.

The Word of God speaks, as silence abounds,
Thundering my purpose, holding my hand.
I'm never alone, even when people are few,
Bold is my witness, my companion is true.
My trust and salvation, pulse strong and pure
To illuminate pathways, lead forward the doomed.
Melodious are your victories; so picturesque, the view...
By faith alone, my heart is soaring,
Strong arms carry me home.

Obscure as a puzzle, pieces chosen and carefully placed,
Perfection upon completion. Satisfaction. All pieces fit.
A scene preservation worthy; and we're unworthy to see,
Sing praise for forgiveness and for words spoken and true,
Grace unleashed in abundance,
to the meek and humble, troubled or doomed.
By faith alone, my heart is soaring,
Strong arms carry me home.

We are seeking, and He is calling,
and every heart needs to hear:
Eyes are opened when doors are answered,
The completed puzzle is now in view.
Not bound to a gallery, for no wall could contain,
Majestic beauty spilling over, flowing colors of his love.
Awed before this vision, words seem inadequate to express,
