Prayer in Pros

Father, you are Lord God Almighty
                    and Holy is that name
I came into your presence
and I will never be the same
Your voice, of all creation,
                    empowers me to move
Your light shone on my darkness,
                   the truth it did unfold
My ear that you created
                  persuaded me to think
The Spirit, which is Holy,
                  ran deeply through my veins
You washed away the images;
you cast them far from my mind
You replaced then with your vvision
as you tenderly shed some light
You called me to come closer
I rose to walk your way
I listened as you uncovered
                  the secret without shame
To me, you are my Savior
                   my reason for my hope
To do just as you will me
                    is my deepest hearts desire
Today, if just for one moment
                  open my eyes to see
A glimpse of my God passing
                   the baton and touching me
Show me of your great things
                    Instruct my limbs to stretch
Increase my perseverance
in you I will pass all tests
Together we will storm heaven
to release what is bound for all time
Hosanna in the Highest
                     the purest sacrifice
In Him we all have salvation
in Him we are clean and pure
In Him we are risen to approach you
in Him we can see your throne
We are Holy, because you are Holy
We are the body and we are one
You call us to come in beside you
To take our place as your bride
We honor you with our submission
after all, you are the King of Kings
There is but one Redeemer
now we know and we choose His name
Together we call for our children
"come home, how we love you so!"
"Don't stay in the presence of danger,"
"there is power for you to escape!"
"Return by the way which you entered"
"seek to hear and to see"
"It is not as far as they have told you"
"for our Christ has risen indeed!"

Amen..........
Hallelujah..........
Shalom...............

Ministry in Word

Divine Petition – Part 1

(Partially based on Charles Spurgeon’s “Morning and Evening” devotional)
Luke 22:31-32

“Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail.”

Introduction
前言
Most people have three questions concerning prayers, that is, when should we pray, how should we pray, and why should we pray. The apostle James answers these questions in his short letter in the Bible.

When Should We Pray
The answer to the question “when should we pray” is found in James 5:13, “Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise.” When we are in trouble we may think that God is uncaring, unknowing, or unable to help, therefore we become tired of praying. Instead, James said that trouble time is exactly the very time we should pray. And then when we are happy, we may not think of praying to God, because we are content, but James said we should also pray and our prayers should be filled with songs of praise, because God is the ultimate source of our happiness. The next verse says that if anyone is sick, when he seems like too weak to pray, that in his weakness he should pray. So James is saying that we should pray when we are in any kind of trouble or suffering, when we are happy for any reason, and when we are sick and feeble. In other words, we should pray in good time and bad time, in all circumstances. That is why Apostle Paul told the Philippian believers, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.” (Php 4:6). So Paul also said that in all situations we should pray.

How Should We Pray

James then answered the question of “how should we pray,” saying FIRST, if a person is sick, he should call for the elders to pray over him. Calling the elders, who represent the church, is calling the church to pray in unity for him. This follows closely Jesus’ teaching for He had said that if two of us agree about anything we ask for, it will be done for us by His Father in heaven (Mt 18:19).

SECONDLY, James also said that our prayer should be offered in the name of the Lord. This is in accordance to what Jesus said in John 14:14 that “You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.” Praying in the name of Jesus means we submit our will to His will, believing that He has in His heart our best interest. It is so easy to pray a list of requests specifying what we want God do for us, instead of praying in submission to God’s will for us. That is why Jesus told his disciples, “Until now you have asked nothing in my name.” (Jn 16:24)

To be continued next week.

May we remain steadfast in offering our prayer and petition with thanksgiving to God in all circumstances.

What is Your Final Position?

(GW)Psalm 50:15 "Call on me in times of trouble, I will rescue you, and you will honor me."

Good Morning Father!

I thank you for this day. For your mercy which starts it and your grace that gets me through.

I praise you, your design is complete. Each moment you saw beforehand, each opportunity in its place, the knowledge of your will extended, the opportunity available and within our reach.

I ask for your understanding, to wait till I feel your peace, to be lifted as I see the formation and the joy to propel your perfect speed.

Sing from my heart your great wisdom; dazzle us all with your will. Propel us into your timing, your pathway perfectly laid. Raise us up this morning, together to claim your ways; all of us with one motive, an offering to our King.

Today help us remember, as we focus on His calling and plea: Life is for the living, death only part of this life; it is not the final position...only the collision between earth bound and our heavenly flight.

I pray for the angels that are charging, to be felt when the pressure is on, for all the intercessions of your righteousness, to pour heavily and ease the strife. For at the right moment, you hear us, and at the perfect moment you came. We all are bound in your victory; Hallelujah to our risen Lord.

God is Almighty in the Highest; His kingdom reaches and fills all things. Not bound to just the heavens, but now released to set the captives free. Selah

Candace

Helpful or Heartless Toward Others?

It is Christ . . . who also makes intercession for us. . . . the Spirit . . . makes intercession for the saints . . . —Romans 8:34, 27

Do we need any more arguments than these to become intercessors-that Christ "always lives to make intercession" ( Hebrews 7:25 ), and that the Holy Spirit "makes intercession for the saints"? Are we living in such a relationship with others that we do the work of intercession as a result of being the children of God who are taught by His Spirit? We should take a look at our current circumstances. Do crises which affect us or others in our home, business, country, or elsewhere, seem to be crushing in on us? Are we being pushed out of the presence of God and left with no time for worship? If so, we must put a stop to such distractions and get into such a living relationship with God that our relationship with others is maintained through the work of intercession, where God works His miracles.

Beware of getting ahead of God by your very desire to do His will. We run ahead of Him in a thousand and one activities, becoming so burdened with people and problems that we don’t worship God, and we fail to intercede. If a burden and its resulting pressure come upon us while we are not in an attitude of worship, it will only produce a hardness toward God and despair in our own souls. God continually introduces us to people in whom we have no interest, and unless we are worshiping God the natural tendency is to be heartless toward them. We give them a quick verse of Scripture, like jabbing them with a spear, or leave them with a hurried, uncaring word of counsel before we go. A heartless Christian must be a terrible grief to our Lord. by Oswald Chambers

It's Personal!

Personalize this as you read it. Might I suggest even being so bold as to say it out loud?

Father,
This is the day that you have given me; I will rejoice in it and BE GLAD!
You are all powerful, all wise and all love, You have equipped me for THIS day. This day is also the provision, for the day just up ahead, to train me and mature me, so all will go well.

For me to be all you desire, all I need is to persevere, my success is not my own, it is your hand forming the turns. All particles of the moments, radiate your love and light, your glory from the process, of me gleaning what you have taught. Nothing is ever wasted, no time will be cut short, that is the Love of the Father, and the culminating point. He merges all things together. He disperses in the need. The light into the darkness, the rescue into the pain, the deliverance into our bondage, the salvation into our soul, the spirit into eternity, the family into our home.

What are you now facing? Look into my face. See the moments before you, through the eyes of my love and grace.
Stand in the freedom I offer, take the peace and the joy. Release the pain and the bondage; the shards that cut your soul.
Put your hand in the one that was wounded~He was harmed that you might be free. No wound is deeper than His resurrection; no toil beyond my right hand.

Today Remember what you are facing, is the chance for Him to live. Allow His breath to overtake you. Allow His body to be released. Pray for Him in others. Pray we remember His Life. Pray we all come together. As one, there remains no more to fight.

With the Love of Christ, I cover us all,
Candace

A Really Hearty Meal

Good Morning -
The depth of Oswald Chambers wisdom never ceases to amaze me. He articulates spiritual thoughts with such heights of clarity that I can truly say without a doubt, I have heard the truth of God as I read.

May the peace that surpasses all understanding blanket you as you read, comprehend and digest all that is written.
In Christ,
Candace

Identified or Simply Interested?

I have been crucified with Christ . . . —Galatians 2:20

The inescapable spiritual need each of us has is the need to sign the death certificate of our sin nature. I must take my emotional opinions and intellectual beliefs and be willing to turn them into a moral verdict against the nature of sin; that is, against any claim I have to my right to myself. Paul said, "I have been crucified with Christ . . . ." He did not say, "I have made a determination to imitate Jesus Christ," or, "I will really make an effort to follow Him"-but-"I have been identified with Him in His death." Once I reach this moral decision and act on it, all that Christ accomplished for me on the Cross is accomplished in me. My unrestrained commitment of myself to God gives the Holy Spirit the opportunity to grant to me the holiness of Jesus Christ.

". . . it is no longer I who live . . . ." My individuality remains, but my primary motivation for living and the nature that rules me are radically changed. I have the same human body, but the old satanic right to myself has been destroyed.

". . . and the life which I now live in the flesh," not the life which I long to live or even pray that I live, but the life I now live in my mortal flesh-the life which others can see, "I live by faith in the Son of God . . . ." This faith was not Paul’s own faith in Jesus Christ, but the faith the Son God had given to him (see Ephesians 2:8 ). It is no longer a faith in faith, but a faith that transcends all imaginable limits-a faith that comes only from the Son of God. By Oswald Chambers

Voices

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” John 10:27

Hearing voices has to be the most haunting of all the mental disorders. After all, which voice do you listen to? Talk about massive confusion! But before you think that you are among the blessed ones who don’t hear voices, think again. Today will be full of voices that compete for a piece of your life. Your boss, your spouse, your children, close friends, advertisements, and talk shows all will bombard your psyche with conflicting advice or demands.

It’s not just the voices on the outside. No matter how sane you think you are, we all have inner voices that compete for control; voices that are not always positive. I confess to hearing the compelling whispers of the dark side of my heart on a regular basis. Whispers that advise and plan ways for me to live for my own advantage. Whispers that convincingly argue that a life lived by the lure of my desires is life at its best. Whispers that tell me I am clever enough not to get caught, that nobody is perfect, that God understands my weakness and will forgive me. Tell me that I am not alone and that you can identify!

I have learned that when those kinds of inner voices dominate, I often look back in regret and shame for letting them grab the control levers of my life. They promise me life at its best but consistently leave me empty, disappointed, guilty and embarrassed.

That’s why I am forever grateful that there is a voice within that I can trust. A single voice that puts all the other voices into perspective. A voice that speaks wisdom clearly and confidently. A voice that has my best interest in mind and wants to lead me to life at its best.

Over the years as I have followed the advice and counsel of that voice, I have never been disappointed. It hasn’t always been easy advice, and sometimes it hasn’t made a lot of sense—like telling me that I should forgive someone who has hurt me or that I need to die to myself—but it has reliably been the right advice.

It’s the voice of Jesus. When you get on line in your heart to hear His voice and His alone, you will be liberated from the conflicting voices that in the end you really can’t trust. Thankfully, He has given you all the equipment you need. Talk about high tech! The indwelling Holy Spirit actually lives within you to decode God’s Word as you read it. He speaks to your mind, heart, and conscience as your eyes scan the lines of the bestselling how-to-live book ever written.

So put the “earbuds” in and tune to the one frequency where you are loved and led to life as God meant it be—life at it’s best!
Remember, His is the only voice you can finally and fully trust. He loves you and died to prove it!
