– Part 2

以马内利：神与我们同在

Isaiah 7:14
以赛亚书 7:14

“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.”
「因此，…，必有童女怀孕生子，给他起名叫以马内利。」


Thirdly it was the magi (wise men) from the East who recognized the significance of the star as a declaration of the birth of a special Jewish king. This was important enough for these magi to travel from their distant homeland to a foreign place to worship him. (Mt 2) He is Immanuel to the magi, the sincere seekers of truth. God was with these truth seekers first in their desire to know the promised Messiah. It was God who put such desire into their heart. Then God was with them in their journey to find the promised Messiah. It was God who guided their every step of their travel. God was also with them in their choices of gifts for the Christ Child, unknowingly worshiping Him as the eternal King (gold), holy Priest (frankincense), and resurrected Savior (myrrh). Today God is with us who sincerely seek to know God, embark on a journey of faith, and receive Christ as our King, our Priest, and our Savior. He demands justice as our King for the wage of our sin to be paid. He intercedes for us as our Priest, offering Himself as the perfect holy sacrifice to pay for our sin. He is our Savior for us who repent to receive His forgiveness and eternal life (Jn 3:16)
第三就是东方来的博士〔智者〕，他们认出那星作为

一位特殊的犹太王诞生的宣告之意义。这些博士认为
这很重要，值得他们离乡背井，千里迢迢到异地去敬
拜他〔太2〕。对这些博士，这些诚恳的慕道者，他是以马内利。神首先在这些慕
道者要认识所应许的弥赛亚的热忱中与他们同在，是神把这热心放在他们心中。
然後神在他们寻找应许的弥赛亚之旅与他们同在，是神引导他们旅行的每一步。
在他们选择要送孩子基督的礼物上神与他们同在，使他们无意中敬拜他为永恒的
王〔黄金〕、圣洁的祭师〔乳香〕和复活的救主〔没药〕。今天神与我们这些诚
恳要认识神、开始一个信心的旅程和接受基督为我们的王、我们的祭师和我们的
救主的人同在。作为我们的王他要求公义，我们罪的工价必须清还。作为我们的
祭师他为我们代求，献上他自己为完美圣洁的祭来付上我们的罪债。对我们这些
悔改来接受他的赦免和永生的人，他是我们的救主(约3:16)。



Fourthly it was the righteous and devout old man Simeon who saw the promised Christ Child in the temple, proclaiming the baby “a light for revelation to the Gentiles and for glory to your people Israel.” (Lk 2:32) He told Mary, “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against.” (Lk 2:34) Thus He is Immanuel to the Gentiles and the Israelites, but only to those who
receive Him. The Bible says that the Word became flesh and dwelled among us. He came to that which was his own (that is, all the people because He made all of them), but his own did not receive Him. But
some did receive Him and became the children of God (Jn 1:11-12). God is with those among the foreigners as well as His chosen people who welcome Him.
第四就是那位虔诚的老义人西缅，他在殿中看到所应许的孩子基
督，就宣布这婴孩「是照亮外邦人的光，又是你民以色列的荣
耀。」(路2:32) 他告诉马利亚说：「这孩子被立，是要叫以色列
中许多人跌倒，许多人兴起；又要作毁谤的话柄，叫许多人心里
的意念显露出来」 (路2:34) 。所以他是外邦人和以色列人的以马
内利，但只是对那些接待他的而言。圣经说道成肉身住在我们中间。他到自己的
地方〔就是所有的人因为全都是他创造的〕来，自己的人倒不接待他。但有些人
接待他，作了神的儿女(约1:11-12)。神与外邦人和他的选民中欢迎他的人同在。


Immanuel, God with us. He is now with us in our triumphs and failures in life. He is with us in our hope overcoming fear, in our victories over temptation, in our stumbles in sins, in our reasonable service, in our punishment and sorrow, in our grave; and so we are with Him, in resurrection, ascension, triumph, and the splendor of His second coming.
以马内利，神与我们同在。他现在在我们生命中的成败中与我们同在。他在我们
克服惧怕的盼望中、在我们胜过试探中、在我们跌倒在罪中、在我们理所当然的
事奉中、在我们的惩罚和忧伤中、在我们的坟中与我们同在；因此，我们在复
活、升天、胜利和他再来的华美中与他同在。


May we receive into our hearts the Light and let Him drive out our inner darkness. May
He be Immanuel to us throughout our life.
愿我们接待光进入我们的心里，又让他驱逐我们内中的黑暗。愿他成为我们一生
的以马内利。
